The master situation monitor (also called the master systems display or MSD) is a large wall-mounted display usually found in either Main Engineering or on the Bridge on Star Fleet starships or stations. The master situation monitor features a large cutaway diagram of the vessel, used for monitoring overall status of the ship and its departments.
