IRW Khazara

The IRW Khazara was a Romulan "D'deridex"-class warbird in service during the 24th century.

In 2369, the Khazara was ordered to transport Major Rakal of the Tal Shiar and a shipment of cargo to the Kaleb sector.

The mission was in fact engineered by Ambassador Spock, to allow a Vice-Proconsul and two aides to defect to the Federation.

Spock's operative on the Khazara arranged for Deanna Troi to be surgically altered and assume Major Rakal's identity for the purpose of this mission.
