Andorian Imperial Guard

The Andorian's traditional military is the Imperial Guard of the Andorian Empire. Specific sections of the military include the Andorian Legions and Andorian Defence Force. Andorian intelligence agencies include Am Tal and the Clan of Enforcers.

Amongst the various ranks in the Imperial Guard are General, Captain, Commander and Lieutenant. Most commanding officers of Imperial Guard ships hold the rank of Commander.

In the 2150s, the standard firearms carried by Imperial Guardsmen were assault-rifle sized weapons which fired a blue energy beam that could prove fatal, as these weapons weren't equipped with a "stun" setting.

When an Imperial Guardsmen dies far from Andoria, it is his compatriot's duty to take a piece of the fallen body (e.g. a vial of blood) home and placed in the Wall of Heroes.

In the Imperial Guard fleet it is unlikely for a starship's commanding officer to regain command of a vessel once their original command had been destroyed.

The Imperial Guard continues to exist domestically into the 24th Century, providing ground security at the Parliament Andoria Complex.
