Events

Brought about by a group of genetically-engineered "supermen," they were result of an ambitious selective-breeding program, led by Khan Noonien Singh.
Within a year, Khan and his followers had seized control of approximately forty Earth nations, roughly a quarter of the planet.
As they struggled for rule, terrible wars ensued, partly due to in-fighting. As entire populations were bombed out of existence, Earth was on the verge of a new Dark Age.
