• A prototype strategic hovercraft is hijacked from North America and brought to a museum on Beton III.

• 1 November - Khan Noonien Singh barely escapes the bloody riots in Delhi after the assassination of Indira Gandhi.

• 3 December - Returning to India, and Khan witnesses how thousands run away from the poison gas following the chemical leak in Bhopal. Khan decides that such accidents should not happen, and begins to form his vision for the future.

• 4 December - All material relating to the Chrysalis Project is classified "Highly Confidential".
