A yard superintendent is a Starfleet official in charge of a shipyard.


These officials make decisions about the operation of the yard, such as which starships to repair, in what order, and when they can leave.

Some Yard Superintendents can be located on larger starships, such as carriers, which may carry smaller vessels.

Their same job description applies, in addition to the responsibility for the upkeep of the hangar and tractor systems.


The lowest rank a Yard Superintendent can have is Lieutenant Commander.
