Medals are medals or ribbons given to players who go above and beyond what is expected on the site.

Federation Medals

These awards are for members of Star Fleet who either achieve specific criteria or go above and beyond the call of duty.

	Marine Corps Academy Graduation Ribbon	0	Awarded to all Star Fleet Marine cadets completing their training at Star Fleet Academy.
	Command School Graduate Ribbon	0	Awarded to Star Fleet officers upon completion of the command course at Star Fleet Academy.
	Star Fleet Achievement Medal	100	Awarded by Commanding Officers to crew members who display better than average job performance, or to reward a single act.
	Star Fleet Commendation Medal	200	Awarded by Commanding Officers to crew members who display outstanding job performance skills in excess of that awarded to the Star Fleet Achievement Medal
	Gold Star	300	Awarded by Commanding Officers to crew members that exhibited valor in the face of imminent danger.
	Diamond Star	400	Awarded by Fleet Commanders for crew members that exhibit uncommon valor in the face of imminent danger, as recommended by that crew member's Commanding Officer.
	Distinguished Service Globe	500	Awarded by Fleet Commanders to crew members who consistently show outstanding performance and/or valor in the face of danger, as recommended by that crew member's Commanding Officer.
	Star Fleet Cross of Gallantry	600	Awarded to crew members who display uncommon valor in the face of imminent danger against an enemy of the Federation during a state of war, as recommended by that crew member's Commanding Officer.
	Star Fleet Medal of Honor	700	Awarded by the Commander in Chief for acts of bravery in the face of insurmountable odds upon the recommendation of the crew member's Fleet Commander and Commanding Officer. This is Star Fleet's highest military honor.
	Outstanding Unit Citation	200	Awarded to an entire crew for consistently performing in a manner that sets the standard for others to follow. It is awarded by the Commander in Chief upon the recommendation of a Fleet Commander or higher.
	Purple Heart	0	Awarded to crew members wounded in combat by an enemy of the Federation during a state of war.

Campaign Medals

Campaign medals are awarded to players who participated in various story arcs on the site. The player much have participated in the campaign for at least 30 days.

	Night of the Viper Campaign Medal	0	Awarded to all players who participated in the Night of the Viper campaign.
	Krynar War Campaign Medal	0	Awarded to all players who participated in the Federation/Krynar War.

Achievement Medals

These are awarded for recognition of talent or service within Federation Space.

	Role-player of the Month	500	Recognition of an outstanding role-player(s) from each ship/station, selected by commanding officers. It is a purely subjective award to reward excellence in role-playing.
	Longetivity Medal	0	Awarded for each year of service within Federation Space. The Roman numeral will change to match the number of years on the site.
	Recruiters Medallion	500	Awarded for recruiting new members to Federation Space. No medal will be awarded until the recruited player has completed Star Fleet Academy and reached the rank of Ensign.
	Short Story Participant	Variable	Awarded to a member for completing a submission during a Federation Space short story contest.
	Short Story Winner	Variable	Awarded to a member for winning a Federation Space short story contest.
	Annual Citation of Excellence	0	Awarded for winning any of the following annual awards: Commanding Officer of the Year, First Officer of the Year, Department Head of the Year, Junior Officer of the Year, Player Character of the Year, Non-Player Character of the Year, Most Improved Writer of the Year, Writer of the Year, Sub-Plot of the Year, Game Moderator of the Year and Academy Instructor of the Year. The specific award should be noted in the main character's career history.
	President's Medal	0	Awarded by the President to recognize outstanding leadership and contributions to the Federation Space community.
	Journal of Science Participant	0	Awarded to a member for completing a submission during a Federation Journal of Science contest.
	Journal of Science Winner	250	Awarded to a member for winning a submission during a Federation Journal of Science contest.

Service Medals

Service medals are awarded to players who have contributed to the development of a certain field. Each medal is approved by that field's Divisional Head, the CinC, the Vice President, or the President.

	The Daystrom Institute Medallion of Scientific Achievement	Variable	Awarded to members who have distinguished themselves in the field of science.
	The Hikaru Sulu Order of Tactics	Variable	Awarded to members who have distinguished themselves in the field of starship operations.
	The Ministry of Justice Citation of Valor	Variable	Awarded to members who have distinguished themselves in the field of security operations.
	The Order of the Shadowed Veil	Variable	Awarded to members who have distinguished themselves in the field of intelligence operations.
	Distinguished Flying Cross	Variable	Awarded to members who have distinguished themselves in the field of aviation.
	The Hayes Service Medal	Variable	Awarded to members who have distinguished themselves by developing Star Fleet Marine Corps content.
	Sword of the Opfor	Variable	Awarded to members who have distinguished themselves by developing Opfor content.
	The Order of Achievement	Variable	Awarded to members who have distinguished themselves by adding content to Federation Space in a category not previously listed

Romulan Medals

Romulan medals were awarded to players who served aboard the Romulan Star Empire vessels when they were PC playable.

	Imperial Commendation Medal	200	Awarded by the Commanding Officer to crew members who display outstanding job performance skills in excess of that awarded to the Star Fleet Achievement Medal.
	Defense of the Empire	0	Awarded to crew members wounded in combat by an enemy of the Empire. Note: This medal is only issued during times of war.
	Legion of Merit	300	Awarded by the Commanding Officer to crew members that exhibited valor in the face of imminent danger.
	Senatorial Medal of Valor	400	Awarded by the Fleet Commander on the recommendation of the Commanding Officer to crew members that exhibit uncommon valor in the face of imminent danger.
	Imperial Medal of Valor	500	Awarded awarded by the Fleet Commander on the recommendation of the Commanding Officer to crew members who consistently show outstanding performance and/or valor in the face of danger.
	Order of the Senate	600	Awarded to crew members who display uncommon valor in the face of imminent danger, against an enemy of the Empire. Note: This medal will only be issued during war time. It will be awarded by the Fleet Commander upon the recommendation of the Commanding Officer.
	Order of the Empire	700	Awarded for acts of bravery in the face of insurmountable odds. It is awarded by the CINC upon the recommendation of the CO and is the highest military honor in the Romulan Star Empire.
