Template:CharsLine

This template provides each character line of the “Characters Tally” table of all STAR FLEET PERSONNEL COMMAND files; that is, biographies.

(You might be looking for Template:CharsHead; that is, the template that provides the table header of the “Characters Tally” table of biographies.)

To make use of this character line template, Template:CharsLine, the biography must include the following line within its |Chars= section; that is, it must include the entire set of codes, as illustrated, below, which represents one character line in the “Characters Tally” table of the biography:

First Line

Note that the first line, and only the first line, should immediately follow the |Chars= item and {{CharsHead|Optional Header|UFP}} table header line, as illustrated, below:

Additional Lines

To avoid display errors because of too much space, include sequential lines so that they follow each other immediately without additional space between them, as illustrated, below:

Details—Item By Item

See below for notes about each character line item:

Name

|Name=Character's Name This item is required.

• Note that the character’s actual wiki name, for example: Schwicker, Johan or Schwicker, Johan{{!}}Johan Schwicker, must replace “Character’s Name.” To avoid display errors because of double square brackets, do not include double square brackets along with the character’s name.

Type

|Type=PC This item is optional.

• Use this item to provide a descriptive character type. For previous player characters, keep PC, as illustrated, above. For alternate player characters, which are also player characters, replace “PC” with Alt. For independent or registered non-player characters, replace “PC” with NPC. For other types of characters or for other descriptive text, include full text to describe its type.

Status

|Status=Retired This item is optional.

• Note that the character’s actual status, for example: Active, [[KIA]], or [[MIA]]; last spotted in [[Glintara Sector]], etc., must replace “Retired.”
