Takara is an inhabited planet on the edge of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants.
This planet is the homeworld of the Takarans (as well as the Takaran wildebeest).
As of 2381, Takara was not a member of the Federation.
Fun Fact:
A Takaran wildebeest is a large herding animal native to Takara.
