Her parents both worked closely with Lorrick Sothrick as he worked with the Federation and had worked with the Romulans attempting to gain peace. With that she had spent a great deal of time in the presence of Tourock Sothrick the Lorrick’s son. The two had grown close and for a short time had a small infatuation for Tourock but this grew overtime to a sisterly adoration as she gained more understanding of her emotions. The two remained close and most would have believed them to be brother and sister in the human view of them.

T’Kol had excelled in all of her schooling and was always the top of her class when she had heard that the Vulcan Star Fleet Intelligence officer was intending to move to Earth she had asked her parents if she may go with him. In her spare time for her father she would often help do small odd jobs around his office. With ever increasing new responsibilities she gained to finally acting as his Assistant. She requested that she work for Sothrick on his journeys as well. Her parents hesitantly agreed knowing that she enjoyed the idea of travel something that was odd for most Vulcans

Arriving with both Son and Father T’Kol worked for the Sothrick’s for a few years the Federation had appointed a Starfleet personnel to take over her responsibilities. This gave her the freedom to enroll in Star Fleet Academy. Again there she excelled and after her graduation was requested to work again with the now Admiral. This time however his son had also moved on and was no longer with him.

After working with the Admiral she was moved with him to work on Starbase alpha. She enjoyed being able to be among the stars and had mentioned that she would like to one day be commissioned to a star ship.

Not more than a few weeks later the Admiral had told her that a post had opened that she would be needed on a ship and he had referred her. The position was hers if she wanted it. She jumped at the chance and became the new Administrative Assistant to the Chief Of Security of the USS Sheridan.

Once on board she was surprised to find that she would now be working directly under Tourock Sothrick. She did share his belief that the Admiral had set this up to have eyes sort to speak, on Tourock.
