|History=Rhiana was born in Mhiessan, a major port city on ch’Rihan (Romulus), before the Dominion War began. Growing up hearing stories about the heroes of both the Dominion War and the First Romulan-Federation War, in both of which her farther served the Empire with distinction as then-Commander of the D’deridex-class Warbird Devoras, Rhiana decided to follow her father’s footsteps at a very young age. Due to both her own excellence in school and her father’s moderate fame as a war hero, she was accepted into the Imperial War College at the rather young age of twenty-three. Due to the outbreak of the First General War, Rhiana and most of her classmates were graduated early in their second year and sent to the frontlines of the war, replacing the casualties that were mounting quicker than anyone had expected. Rhiana served with distinction, making her family, especially her father proud, and rising swiftly to the rank of Centurion by the end of the war. For the next nine years Rhiana continued to serve the Empire with distinction along the Gorn and Klingon borders. In 2407, Rhiana was promoted to Sub-Commander and given command of the newly refitted IRW Valdore. The next year saw the Romulan invasion of both the Federation and the Gorn Confederation. Rhiana was given the honor of spearheading the first wave of the assault into Gorn territory. Later that year, when the Borg began their invasion of the Sol system, the Valdore was recalled to protect the Empire as the Borg began consolidating their foothold. The Valdore took part in several joint assaults against the Borg, and was part of the armada that finally destroyed the Borg threat. In the aftermath of yet another costly war, after hearing rumors of a planned rapid military build up and renewed assault on the Federation, Rhiana’s father, khre’Riov (Commander-General) S’Ten e-Sahen tr’Kiell, returned to ch’Rihan to lobby against the increasingly warlike stance of the Senate. Rhiana, like her father, also feared that another war would destroy the Rihannsu. A short time after her father returned to the Homeworld, Rhiana was promoted to Commander and placed in command of a small battle group to patrol the Klingon border to defend against any aggression from Emperor Kalok’s regime. Shortly after being deployed, news of her parents’ death reached her, and Rhiana began attempting to discover the truth about their deaths. After nearly a year of searching, Rhiana finally discovered that her father and mother had been assassinated by the Tal’Shiar for being dissident traitors. Not long after learning the truth, the Valdore was decommissioned, and Rhiana found herself back on ch’Rihan awaiting reassignment to a ship whose crew loyalties belonged to the Tal’Shiar. While on ch’Rihan, Rhiana learned that elements of the Reunificationists had been in contact with the Federation. Rhiana quietly and quickly made contact with a group of Reunificationists and arranged for her defection to the Federation. After spending two years being debriefed by Star Fleet, Rhiana was commission as a Lieutenant Commander, and assigned to the USS Copernicus as a Science Officer, with the understanding that she would likely never hold a Command position.

After serving on the Copernicus for several months, Rhiana, along with Ens Rachael Granger was kidnapped by agents of the Tal’Shiar. She was rescued by LCdr Giraath, Lt Feng, and a group of mercenaries employed by the newly formed Romulan Republic. She aided that same group in rescuing several of her family members who had been kidnapped by the Tal’Shiar. Upon returning to the Federation, Rhiana was transferred to the Stafleet Marine Corp as an Intelligence Officer. She was then assigned to the Marine company assigned to the USS Gettysburg

UPDATE: (Stardate 21002.13): After participating in the Battle of Starbase 157, Rhiana was reassigned to the 321st Marine Logistics and Studies Regiment, as a Echo Company's Intelligence Officer. After the unit was disbanded, she retired from Starfleet and returned to the Romulan Star Empire, joining the crew of her sister T'Maekh's pirate fleet.
