The Argelians are a humanoid species that hail from the planet Argelius II.
Outwardly identical to Humans, the Argelian race is known for its hedonistic, peace-loving nature. This was acquired after undergoing a period in Argelian history known as the Great Awakening circa the 2060s, which fundamentally reformed their society from violent to placid. Since the Great Awakening, the Argelians have adopted a pacifist way of life, deploring any form of violence. Some Argelians possesses psychic powers, but it is not a common characteristic to this race. This pleasure-loving cultural trait makes it necessary to import administrative officials from other worlds to maintain order.

A humanoid species native to Beta III.
Thousands of years ago, this species possessed highly advanced technology, including lighting panels, computers, and heat beams capable of reaching into orbit.
During this time, their leader, a philosopher named Landru, became deeply concerned that the wars raging on Beta III would destroy all life on the planet. To solve this problem, he built an extremely sophisticated computer, also called Landru. The computer also created "the Body", similar to a hive mind, which eliminated hate, fear, and conflict, put an end to war, disease, and crime.

Ekosians are a humanoid species native to Ekos, one of two M-class planets in an unnamed star system.
The Argelians are pre-spaceflight Ekosians, as a humanoid species that hail from result of their wars, were in a state of anarchy in the mid-23rd century. This drew the attention of their sister world, Zeon, which had managed to live in peace for many generations, and had developed the planet beginnings of interplanetary spaceflight. Many Argelius IIZeons came to Ekos in an effort to help their neighbors learn peaceful ways.
Outwardly identical to The HumanFederationsalso took note of the chaos of Ekos, and dispatched the Argelian race is known for its hedonistic, peacehistorian John Gill as a cultural observer to the upheaval in the mid-loving nature2260s. This was acquired after undergoing Gill had developed an idealization of Utopian fascism and decided his theories were a period in Argelian history known as the Great Awakening circa the 2060s, which fundamentally reformed their society from violent chance to placidsave Ekos. Since He abandoned the Great AwakeningPrime Directive policy for cultural contamination, and created a National Socialist Party-style world government where he was the Argelians have adopted a pacifist way of life, deploring any form of violenceFührer. Some Argelians possesses psychic powersSubverted by his Ekosian Deputy Führer Melakon, but it is not a common characteristic to this race. This pleasure-loving cultural trait makes it necessary to import administrative officials from other worlds to maintain orderGill's best intentions quickly fell apart.
clearUsing the Nazi model, Melakon used the presence of Zeons on Ekos in much the same way as Hitler used the Jews of Germany and Europe: as scapegoats blamed for Ekos' problems and declaring them a threat to be eliminated. With the technology elicited from Gill, Melakon rapidly upgraded Ekosian weapons. By 2268 the "Final Decision", a genocidal invasion on the planet Zeon, was preparing for deployment.
The USS Enterprise NCC-1701, assigned to discover what had happened to John Gill, arrived in the Ekos-Zeon star system just before the launch of the "Final Decision". The intervention of James T. Kirk, Spock and Leonard McCoy roused Gill in time to call-off the attack, and Gill recanted his beliefs to Kirk as he died, insisting the Prime Directive was "the only way". The regime created by Gill and Melakon proved to be weaker than their German model; the Nazi government and "Final Decision" was not embraced by all of Ekos. An underground alliance of Zeons and Ekosians had formed, including high-level Nazi party members who wanted no part in the genocide. Kirk's actions allowed the Zeon Isak to kill Deputy Führer Melakon. Afterwards, there appeared to be no impediment to the worlds working together. Spock observed that the union of the the two world cultures would make a fine addition to the Federation. As it was observed; the Ekosian people were granted membership into the United Federation of Planets.  clear ==Argrathi= Ellora ===

The Hierarchy species are a species from the a region of space near the Beta-Delta Quadrant border that is controlled by the Hierarchy. The true name of this species is unknown to the Federation.
Physically the species is with dull brown skin, and few distinguishing features - hairless, and with few noticeable facial features, it is almost impossible for other species to distinguish between individuals of this race. They use surveillance on passing ships for future raids. This is done by special surveillance ships, hiding in nebulae for example, who use sensors to assess the tactical risk of attacking passing vessels and the available loot. They use cloaked ships to sneak up on vessels. They have several different attack patterns, at least the patterns Stealth approach 1 through 4, which use increasing amounts of energy. The Hierarchy is meticulous when it comes to use of energy and resources on its vessels. Every planned use is to be reported and consulted with the Hierarchy, attempting maximum efficiency.
A feathered humanoid species native to Banea in type 3 approach involves four vessels coming up on the Delta Quadranttarget cloaked, they originally shared decloaking within its direct vicinity and firing a warning shot across the shields. A type 4 approach involves rotating phaser frequencies and firing the first shot a planet with direct hit, before contacting the target and placing an ultimatum. This assault drains significantly more energy, and is only used under extenuating circumstances. A type 3 approach was planned to attack the NumiriFederationstarship USS Voyager, but when short range scans conflicted with whom they were at war with in 2371. This species' heart long range recon, a type 4 approach was located between their eighth and ninth right ribsused. They had distinctive forehead ridgesHowever, similar to that the ships eventually withdrew in fear of some species the photonic cannon, an imaginary weapon of Earth birds, and feather-like structures around their faces and on their browsthe Doctor's design.
The Hierarchy itself is regularly consulted by crew of its ships using a special communication system. The current situation is detailed on a sort of PADD, then entered in a slot next to a display, which is cylindrical in form. After a few moments, rectangle colored lights appear on the display to indicate the Hierarchy's decision. Judging by the response time, the Hierarchy is either extremely well organised, or a limited number of people have to consent, or it involves a computer system.
Generally pleasant people, their legal system, which was based in courts The social and trialsworking ethics differ dramatically from Star Fleet, often resulted in severe punishment. The BothaLumerians are a reclusive, apparently humanoid species who inhabit , clearly noticeable by their distinctive forehead markings. As a region of space species they are gifted with empathic abilities, but are usually restricted in the use of this empathy. Hostile to outsiders, most vessels which enter their space are never seen again. In 2372, the USS Voyager entered their space other Lumerians and attempted to negotiate passage. Almost the entire crew was neutralized in an elaborate series of hallucinations, apparently caused by a powerful alien empaths field generated by three Bothan ships. The hallucinations began with various elements from the target's memory, and gradually became more inclusive until the person entered a comatose state, trapped in a fantasy reality. The Bothan telepath was defeated by Kess. Some Lumerians seem to be able to ritually form a psionic bond with another person, who was able giving him or her the option to "mirrordump" bad feelings and other "mental waste" their attacks back onto the perpetratorbond partner. This allowed her to trigger a resonance burst The latter one usually suffers from severely accelerated aging and aggressive behavior. The ritual is performed with the warp corehelp of a crystalline stone, which blocked that seems to enhance the Bothan's psionic field. However, both output of the Bothan on Voyager and his ships were illusions, disappearing after informing Captain Kathryn Janeway that he had no reason for attacking them other than that he could. The Botha's true nature was never discoveredritual participants.

Not much is known about the Briori. They presumably have a thumb|left|A Metron male form.
The Metrons are a powerful, enigmatic species whose government is known as the Metron Consortium.
In The Metrons were first encountered by 1937United Federation of Planetsrepresentatives in 2267. In that year, this species abducted over three hundred Captain James T. Kirk ordered the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 to pursue a Humans from EarthGornvessel that had destroyed the observation outpost located on Cestus III. As the pursuit passed the uncharted solar system, known as 2466 PM, including famous female pilot the Enterprise was scanned. The Amelia EarhartGornvessel inexplicably slowed and stopped. They transported these people Thinking they planned to a planet in the Delta Quadrant fight, Kirk prepared to be used as slave labor. The Human slaves revolted, however, engage; and overthrew their Briori masters, taking their weapons the Enterprise likewise slowed and technologystopped. Both ships were held in place by the solar system; not by tractor beams, and eventually establishing a thriving settlementbut rather by 'an unidentifiable power'.
The Metrons, declaring both species savages, prepared a planet and removed the captain of each ship to it. There, they would fight to the death, and the outcome of this contest would determine which ship survived, and which was destroyed.
Fifteen generations laterEventually, in Kirk won this fight, but elected to spare his helpless opponent. This demonstration of mercy surprised the year 2371Metrons, whose analysis of the settlement was discovered by the crew of situation did not lead them to expect it. A Metron appeared to Kirk, and suggested that, although the USS VoyagerFederationwas still half savage, along with Earhart there might be hope for it in a few thousand years. The Metrons then returned Kirk to the Enterprise and seven other Humans who had been left in suspended animation for unknown reasonstransported the ship 1,600 light years away from their space.
The Metrons demonstrated the ability to manipulate forms of energy unknown to Federation science: to perform comprehensive scans at great range, to transport matter great distances instantly, and perhaps to rapidly terraform planets to specific requirements. All of these feats were well beyond what even 24th century Federation technology can accomplish. This suggests their science and technology is hundreds or thousands of years more advanced than that of the Federation.
The USS Voyager crew were assumed Metrons have long lifespans; the representative that met Kirk was approximately 1,500 years old, despite appearing as little more than a boy. His comment to be Briori when observed from Kirk suggests an interest in the political and sociological geometry of the galaxy thousands of years hence. It is possible that this perspective is a few dozen meters away, but were recognized as Humans from up closeconsequence of this long lifespan.
They conducted trade with the Verillians in 2373.

The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) responded to the situation and unknowingly worsened the cultural contamination when the Mintakans observed their comings and goings. As a result, the previously discarded beliefs in supernatural beings began to resurface in the village most directly affected. This would eventually lead to their mistaking Jean-Luc Picard for the Overseer, one of their gods. The pre-spaceflight EkosiansValtese share ancestry with the Kriosians but are, by 2368, less sentimental as a result of their wars, were in culture. The species do share a state of anarchy in the middark-23rd century. This drew spotted skin pattern along the attention of their sister world, Zeon, which had managed to live in peace for many generations, hairline and had developed down the beginnings of interplanetary spaceflight. Many Zeons came to Ekos in an effort to help their neighbors learn peaceful waysneck and spine.
The Federation also took note of the chaos of Ekos, and dispatched the historian John Gill as a cultural observer to the upheaval in the mid-2260s. Gill had developed an idealization of Utopian fascism and decided his theories were a chance to save Ekos. He abandoned the Prime Directive policy for cultural contamination, and created a National Socialist Party-style world government where he was the Führer. Subverted by his Ekosian Deputy Führer Melakon, Gill's best intentions quickly fell apart.  Using the Nazi model, Melakon used the presence of Zeons on Ekos in much the same way as Hitler used the Jews of Germany and Europe: as scapegoats blamed for Ekos' problems and declaring them a threat to be eliminated. Kirk, Spock and Leonard McCoy roused Gill in time to call-off the attack, and Gill recanted his beliefs to Kirk as he died, insisting the Prime Directive was "the only way".clear
As it was observed; the Ekosian people were granted membership into the United Federation of Planets.  clear  ==Ellora= Zeons ===

The Ellora were one of two primitive races, including the Tarlac, that were conquered by the Son'a in 2325.
By 2375, both After the Ellora and cultural contamination of the TarlacFederation were fully integrated into Human John Gill and the takeover of the Nazi regime by the Ekosians, Zeons became a hunted people on Ekos. This species' heart was located between their eighth and the available lootninth right ribs. They use cloaked ships had distinctive forehead ridges, similar to sneak up on vessels. They have several different attack patterns, at least the patterns Stealth approach 1 through 4, which use increasing amounts that of energy. The Hierarchy is meticulous when it comes to use some species of energy Earth birds, and feather-like structures around their faces and resources on its vessels. Every planned use is to be reported and consulted with the Hierarchy, attempting maximum efficiencytheir brows.
A type 3 approach involves four vessels coming up on the target cloaked, decloaking within its direct vicinity and firing a warning shot across the shields. A type 4 approach involves rotating phaser frequencies and firing the first shot a direct hit, before contacting the target and placing an ultimatum. This assault drains significantly more energy, and is only used under extenuating circumstances. A type 3 approach was planned to attack the Federation starship USS Voyager, but when short range scans conflicted with long range recon, a type 4 approach was used. However, the ships eventually withdrew in fear of the photonic cannon, an imaginary weapon of the Doctor's design.
The Hierarchy itself is regularly consulted by crew of its ships using a special communication Generally pleasant people, their legal system. The current situation is detailed on a sort of PADD, then entered which was based in a slot next to a displaycourts and trials, which is cylindrical often resulted in formsevere punishment. The social and working ethics differ dramatically from Star Fleet, in that every crew member has one duty and work station, hardly any social contacts and limited access to the ship. Some members of The Hierarchy have been known to leave their territory and explore other areas of space. clear

The Iconians Several Benkarans were an ancient and highly advanced civilization that was destroyed some 200,000 years ago by the orbital bombardment of their homeworld, Iconia. Later this was found to be a reference to the Iconians' gateway technology, whose instant teleportation allowed them to establish outposts at least as far as Vandros IV in the Gamma QuadrantQuarra. Leyor was sent as their representative to talks held aboard the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D. They were bought out by Devinoni Ral, who represented the Chrysalians. Ral brought up the tremendous amount of administration which would be needed to manage the wormhole and the high amount of traffic it would experience, which the Caldonians felt they were unable to handle. Commander William T. In 2377, while Q Junior was under Captain Janeway's care, he stole the Delta Flyer II and took Icheb with him as they escaped through a spatial flexure. Once they exited it, far from USS Voyager, they were hailed by a Chokuzan starship, who ordered them to surrender their vessel, as they were trespassing in Chokuzan space. After receiving phaser damage from the Delta Flyer, the Chokuzan commander fired a weapon at the shuttle, which disrupted Icheb's tactical console and injured him with omicron radiation. Junior panicked and returned to Voyager for treatment.

Later, when Janeway and Junior returned to the Chokuzan ship, the commander revealed himself to be Q, and he was just testing his son's response.

It is not stated whether the Chokuzan are a real species or not.

The Crystalline Entity was a powerful, spaceborne creature characterized by a crystalline structure that resembled a large snowflake. It had warp speed travel capability, formidable size, and the ability to consume all life on a planet or starship. Its origin was somewhere in Delta Quadrant.

The Entity functioned as a giant electromagnetic collector and needed constant power, converting organic matter into energy. Once the Entity ravaged a planet, its natural resources were completely stripped. No further life would be able to grow for many years. Everything, including vegetation and bacteria, was completely converted. Bitrious matter was usually deposited in the Entity's wake, as were elevated levels of hydrocarbons, lanthanides, and nitrates. The Entity was unable to penetrate rock lined with both kelbonite and fistrium. Both metals needed to be present in order to refract the Entity's absorption power. The shields of a Galaxy starship were also impervious to the Entity. Dr. Kila Marr was one of the Federation's foremost experts on the Crystalline Entity, studying twelve attack sites including Forlat III.

The Entity, to which thousands of deaths are attributed, attacked the planet Omicron Theta in 2336, stripping all living material from the entire colony and killing many inhabitants, including Raymond Marr, Kila Marr's son. Colony residents Dr. Noonien Soong and Juliana Soong both fled during the attack aboard an escape pod, although Juliana Soong was severely injured. The android Lore was an ally of the Entity and responsible for luring it to Omicron Theta. He tried to "feed" the crew of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D to the Entity after he was revived in 2364. Enterprises shields were enough to protect it from the Entity, and Lore was eventually transported into space. The Crystalline Entity retreated to parts unknown.

In 2368, the Crystalline Entity destroyed the fledgling colony on Melona IV. Two colonists, including Carmen Davila, were lost in the attack. Most of the colonists survived, thanks to a cavern lined with kelbonite and fistrium. The Enterprise rescued the survivors and brought Dr. Marr to the planet so she could further study the attack. She worked with Lieutenant Commander Data in order to develop a technique to communicate with the creature.

The Enterprise intercepted the Entity after it had killed the entire crew of a freighter, the Kallisko. They attracted the Entity by emitting graviton pulses at 10 per second from the Enterprise, as lower pulse rates had no effect on the creature. The creature approached the Enterprise, replying with a series of graviton pulses that the Enterprise crew interpreted as meaningful, but which it needed time to decode. Marr increased the pulse rate, eventually trying a continuous graviton emission. The Entity stopped emitting pulses of its own as the emissions drove it into resonance. The Enterprise crew tried to stop the emissions, only to find that Marr had isolated the access code for the emission controls. Before the crew could halt the emissions, the resonance shattered the Entity.

The Dinaali (or the Dinaal) are a humanoid species from the Delta Quadrant.

The Dinaali are virtually identical to Humans in their outward appearance. However, their internal workings show several differences.

Up until the mid-24th century, the Dinaali were plagued with overpopulation, and a medical service that didn't treat the people it needed to. So the Dinaali government asked the Jye to intervene, a species known for their administrative abilities, and they reorganized the Dinaali medical system.

In the new system, each citizen received a "T.C." or Treatment coefficient, which designates how useful a person is to society.

In 2377, The Doctor was stolen by Gar and sold to a Dinaali medical ship. While there, he tried to "re-allocate" some medication so that the amount of medication a person received was based on how badly they needed it, not how "useful to society" they were.

The Metrons are a powerful, enigmatic species whose government is known as the Metron Consortium.

The Metrons were first encountered by United Federation of Planets representatives in 2267. In that year, Captain James T. Kirk ordered the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 to pursue a Gorn vessel that had destroyed the observation outpost located on Cestus III.

As the pursuit passed the uncharted solar system, known as 2466 PM, the Enterprise was scanned. The Gorn vessel inexplicably slowed and stopped. Thinking they planned to fight, Kirk prepared to engage; and the Enterprise likewise slowed and stopped. Both ships were held in place by the solar system; not by tractor beams, but rather by 'an unidentifiable power'.

The Metrons, declaring both species savages, prepared a planet and removed the captain of each ship to it. There, they would fight to the death, and the outcome of this contest would determine which ship survived, and which was destroyed.

Eventually, Kirk won this fight, but elected to spare his helpless opponent. This demonstration of mercy surprised the Metrons, whose analysis of the situation did not lead them to expect it. A Metron appeared to Kirk, and suggested that, although the Federation was still half savage, there might be hope for it in a few thousand years. The Metrons then returned Kirk to the Enterprise and transported the ship 1,600 light years away from their space.

Metrons have long lifespans; the representative that met Kirk was approximately 1,500 years old, despite appearing as little more than a boy. His comment to Kirk suggests an interest in the political and sociological geometry of the galaxy thousands of years hence. It is possible that this perspective is a consequence of this long lifespan.

They conducted trade with the Verillians in 2373.

The Mintakans are a proto-Vulcan humanoid species native to Mintaka III, who exist in a Bronze Age state of technology. Despite their relatively minimal technological advancement, Mintakan culture is highly empirical and by 2366 they had long since rejected the notion of a god or other supernatural beings and had been collecting astronomical and archaeological data for several generations.

In 2366, a Federation anthropological team studying the Mintakans accidentally exposed the primitive culture to 24th century technology when the duck blind they were operating out of had a reactor failure. To avert the revival of religion, Captain Picard abducted the local leader, Nuria, to give her a guided tour of the ship to explain that the beings they discovered are simply mortals with advanced technology.

Unexpectedly, Nuria believed that this proved that Picard was indeed the Overseer. When they returned to the planet, Nuria finally believed the truth when Picard was almost killed by a Mintakan arrow.

Despite the cultural contamination occurred, the Mintakans were able to resume a somewhat natural society.

Mintakan women always walk in front of the men as a sign of ownership, and to stake out a negotiating position for any services that might be asked of the man.

The Napeans are a partially-empathic species from the Beta Quadrant.

Their physical appearance is similar to most humanoids, possessing a large, leaf-shaped forehead ridge on their foreheads.

They are biologically compatible with Humans for producing hybrid offspring.

Their homeworld, Napea, is explained to be obsessed with conformity, having terraformed landmasses and the weather to be generally uniform across the planet. Their language, Napea, is said to be choppy and harsh-sounding.

The Peliar Zel natives are a humanoid species native to the planet Peliar Zel II. This species is a member of the United Federation of Planets. Their appearance is characterized by a midline nasal outgrowth.

The moons of Peliar Zel were colonized during the 1960s, and the governments of Alpha moon and Beta moon were at odds with one another throughout the next five hundred years . By 2337, Trill Ambassador Odan was called in to mediate a major dispute.

Over the next thirty years, relations between the Alphans and Betans would again deteriorate to the point of war. The major contributing factor to the situation began when the Alpha moon developed an energy source harnessing power from the planet's magnetic field causing substantial environmental damage to Beta moon.

In 2367, Ambassador Odan again negotiated a peace accord between the Alpha and Beta Moons.

In 2369, there was at least one Star Fleet cadet of Peliar Zel origin, as seen in the observing crowd at the inquest held into the death of Cadet Joshua Albert.

Prior to the 2260s, the inhabitants were made infertile due to a radiation sickness. Their bio-chemistry had accelerated to a point that they experienced hours as other lifeforms experienced minutes.

In 2268, they hijacked the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) in an effort to repopulate their race with the male USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) personnel. Captain James T. Kirk was able to stop them and return them to their native Scalos.

The Suliban are a nomadic humanoid species from Sector 3641 whose homeworld became uninhabitable in the 1850s.

Many Suliban settled in the Tandar Sector, but when the Suliban Cabal began warring on the Tandarans in 2144, they were rounded up and placed in detainment camps.

Suliban are no more evolved than Humans, and normally possess three bronchial lobes. Vulcan evaluation concluded they were nonthreatening. Doctor Phlox examined a pair of Suliban (a husband and wife) a few years before his assignment to Enterprise (NX-01). He considered them very cordial.

Their first contact with humanity came in April 2151, when two Suliban pursued Klaang the Klingon to Earth. Though these Suliban perished, several more boarded the starship Enterprise while it was transporting Klaang to Qo'noS and succeeded in kidnapping him. One of the Suliban was killed by Enterprise security forces, and examination revealed it had been genetically enhanced. Further investigation showed this Suliban belonged to the Suliban Cabal, which was working for a benefactor from the future in exchange for these enhancements.

The Tarellians had attained a level of technology comparable to early 20th century Earth, when a civil war caused deadly biological weapons to be unleashed on the planet, wiping out the Tarellian civilization.

A few plague-carrying Tarellians managed to escape to other planets, where they infected the native population and died with them. The remaining Tarellian starships were hunted down and destroyed by fearful species.

The last recorded plague ship arrived at Haven in 2364, seeking an isolated site to take advantage of the planet's supposed recuperative powers. They were joined by Wyatt Miller, who hoped to finally find a cure, and they decided not to land at Haven.

Dr. Phlox was able to initially assist the Tarkaleans; however, he discovered that the Borg nanoprobes had infiltrated their autonomic systems and that their renal glands were replaced with cybernetic devices. The Tarkaleans eventually succumbed to the Borg and one of the Tarkaleans attacked and injected Phlox with nanoprobes. The Tarkaleans later escaped sickbay and attempted to modify the systems of Enterprise, forcing Captain Archer to eject the two into space.

The Zeons are the humanoid inhabitants of the planet Zeon, one of the two M-class planets in an unnamed star system. The Zeon are average in height, comparable to Humans. The oldest Zeon ever recorded lived to be 176 years of age. The Zeon species has almost indistinguishable features to Humans, the only difference being 3 bright yellow spots behind their ears. Their internal function are nearly as similar to that of Humans, but the Zeon are able to heal 4 times faster. By the mid-23rd century, Zeon had been living in peace for many generations, and had developed the beginnings of interplanetary spaceflight. Noticing the state of anarchy among the warlike, pre-spaceflight Ekosians, many Zeons came to Ekos in an effort to help their neighbors learn peaceful ways. Sometime after 2218, a Zeon colony was established on Ekos.

After the cultural contamination of the Federation Human John Gill and the takeover of the Nazi regime by the Ekosians, Zeons became a hunted people on Ekos. Using the Nazi model, Melakon used the presence of Zeons as scape-goats to be blamed for Ekos' problems, and eventually a threat to be eliminated. With the technology elicited from the Federation contamination, Ekosians weapons were quickly upgraded.

The USS Enterprise arrived just before the launch of the invasion against Zeon. The intervention the Enterprise caused the attack and invasion to be called off. The Nazi government was not embraced by all of Ekos. An underground alliance of Zeons and Ekosians had formed. There appeared to be no impediment to the worlds working together. Spock observed that the union of the the two cultures would make a fine addition to the Federation.

In the 2280s, Zeon was a noted center of trade and culture, and was known for its advancement in science and industry.

The world had a population of 3.59 billion individuals, and the government remained a protectorate of the Federation.
