The species were found to utilize cloaking technology to help them remain undetected, and to observe other species traveling through their space. Captain Janeway sought the help of Naroq, who had devised a method of illuminating the cloak, to try to find the Ba'neth. Having modified Voyagers deflector dish, and knowing the cloaking frequency which Tuvok remembered from his scan, Janeway located a Ba'neth space station. They admitted to attacking the ships to assess the threat that they posed, and agreed to trade the photolithic converter used to find them for information that would help to treat the still-affected Tuvok.

The Bandi are a humanoid race who inhabit the planet Deneb IV. Their technology is not particularly advanced, and their architecture is surprisingly simple.

During the mid-24th century, a group of Bandi captured an injured spaceborne entity and brought it to the surface of Deneb IV. The Bandi nourished the lifeform back to health, but kept it only strong enough to use its unique ability to change energy into matter. Too weak to leave the surface, the creature was imprisoned on the planet and forced to manifest itself as Farpoint Station.

In the year 2364, the lifeform's mate came to Deneb IV to free it, attacking the nearby "Old Bandi City". This attack lead the crew of the USS Enterprise, NCC-1701-D to realize the nature of Farpoint Station and give aid to the injured creature, allowing it to rejoin its mate in orbit of Deneb.

The Bijani are a humanoid species that are an offshoot of the Kobliad species, but have developed a smaller naso-cranial ridge. They were encountered by the Federation in the 24th century on the planet Bijan, which is located in the Alpha Quadrant. The species is more commonly known to be nomadic stellar-wanderers. Following their acceptance into the Federation, some members of the species have decided to join Star Fleet.

The Bijani have a unique ability: when in great pain their body is flooded with adrenaline and it has a unusual effect on their neuropsychology. They enter a pain-trance that allows the body to continue working while not being affected by their own level of pain. This also helps by pushing their body’s limits.

Despite their rejection of technology, the colony prospered due to the Bringloidi's use of traditional techniques for providing their own textiles and food.  In 2365, the Bringloidi, led by Danilo Odell, were forced to evacuate aboard the USS Enterprise-D due to increased solar flare activity in their star system. At Captain Jean-Luc Picard's suggestion, they eventually merged with the clone-based society of the Mariposans, also descended from those on the SS Mariposa. It can be assumed that the name Bringloidi is based on the Irish word "Brionglóidí", meaning "dreams." clear ==Briori== {{Sidebar\Species|Name=Briori|Image=|Homeworld=Unknown

The Calamarain are intelligent, non-corporeal lifeforms that exist as clouds of ionized gas. They were once tormented by Q, who insisted that he did nothing "bizarre" or "grotesque" to them. The Calamarain communicate with high-pitched noises and grindings. They emit Berthold rays when probing something.

When Q lost his powers in 2366 and was exiled to the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D to live as a human, the Calamarain sensed the chance for revenge and attacked Q and the Enterprise. To save the ship, Q took a shuttle to divert the Calamarain's attention away. This noble deed convinced the Q Continuum to restore his powers. Q immediately attempted to exact retribution against the Calamarain, but Q2 forced Q to let the Calamarain go without harm.

The Chessu are a warp-capable species from the Delta Quadrant. They reside in a region of space also occupied by the Antarians, the Aksani, the Terrellians, the Imhotep, and others.

Two Chessu ships participated in the Antarian Trans-stellar Rally of 2377. Ambassador O'Zaal had promised the hosting of the post-race ceremony to the Chessu, which caused protests by the Aksani.

In 2366, they hired a human, Devinoni Ral, to handle their affairs in negotiation for the Barzan wormhole. The Chrysalians felt they had the resources, technology and science to oversee a wormhole, and Ral was able to secure exclusive rights to the wormhole by manipulating the Caldonians, the Ferengi, and the Federation. Eventually, the wormhole was determined to be useless, and Ral expected the Chrysalians to be quite angry when he returned to report to them.

The Cravic were a specie of beings who used to exist in the Delta Quadrant. They were at war with the Pralor, and both sides built automative units to aid in their war. When the two races called a truce, they tried to dismantle their now-surplus units. However, the units terminated their builders to ensure their survival, and continued the war.

In 2372, the crew of the USS Voyager encountered a Cravic vessel manned by Cravic Automated Personnel Units. The technology of the Cravic ship is roughly equal to that of the Pralor, each with more powerful weapons, but slower engines than Voyager.

While visiting the planet in 2151, Captain Jonathan Archer and the crew of the Enterprise came upon the Eska hunters. One of the Wraiths appeared to Captain Jonathan Archer as a woman from one of his dreams. She explained that her people are shapeshifters, and the Eska hunt them using sensors to track them by identifying the Wraiths' chemical signature. Doctor Phlox made a compound that masked their chemical signature, concealing them from the hunters and hiding them from the Eska's sensors. Once her people had protected themselves with Phlox's compound, Archer's mysterious friend thanked him and let him see her true serpentine form.

The Xindi-Avian species is an extinct member of the Xindi race, wiped out during the conflict between the six Xindi species which destroyed their homeworld, sometime in the 2030s. Due to their primitive technology, the Avians were incapable of leaving Xindus and so were wiped out.

Strangely, the remains of an Avian settlement were found on a planet that dated back to the 2nd millennium BC. The ruins of the settlement are used for the meeting place of the Xindi Council.
