One thing that did come back to her through procedural, 'muscle' memory, was her intuitive ability and love for flying, for piloting shuttles like past host Rikka, but also starships like the Ticonderoga as Serran. With her memories of being Captain Zan of the Callisto seemingly gone forever, she made up her mind to at least be Serran Zan the pilot and not to waste any more of her life waiting around for some magical fix to restore her mind.
Returning to Starfleet she re-qualified as a pilot and refreshed her knowledge and procedures of the Tactical department, then awaited assignment.took up a position at Starfleet Academy as an Instructor.She adapted to this Earth-bound lifestyle, getting her fix of space travel through instructing cadets to be the next generation of pilots.
