The '''Tesnians''' are a [[warp drive|warp]]-capable [[humanoid]] species native to the [[Alpha Quadrant]].

Unlike many humanoid species, Tesnians are unable to survive on a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere alone. Though they are able to breathe in such environments, they require at least six hours of exposure to boron gas a day in order to remain healthy.

Tesnians are a fully warp-capable society. The tours of their [[starship]]s tend to be extremely long ones, with many Tesnian crews spending years on board their ships without returning to their homeworld. They tend to consider their ships to be their homes since they spend all their time there, carrying around all their belongings and building their own communities on board.

The Tesnian species is native to the planet Tesnia in the [[Alpha Quadrant]]. At some point before the [[22nd century]], they developed warp technology and began spending increasing amounts of their time in space.
