|History=Luna was born on Earth, to Hazel and Xavier Pond. Being brought up in an easy going, strong family unit Luna is very close to all of her family. Her mother Hazel is a teacher, she is understanding, straight talking and kind. Hazel contributed greatly to Luna’s early childhood education, prior to her schooling. After this she pressed her daughter to study hard and follow her dreams. As she became older Luna temporarily rebelled towards her mother’s views for intense study, however today they are great friends.

Her father Xavier is an Astronomer, who spent many hours with young Luna sitting with him and staring at the stars. Xavier educated Luna in Constellations and encouraged a love of all things celestial, even naming her at birth himself. Luna has since branched out to enjoy a hobby in Astrology and has a vast interest in Star signs and and their meaning being a Libra herself. Today her father is living on Earth with her mother and youngest daughter expressing his carefree and eccentric nature, which Luna shares (well some of the time at least).

The arrival of her sister was a bit of a surprise for Luna, however she took well to being a big sister being 6 when she arrived. Her father and his family yet again took the lead in naming her sister (much to the annoyance and agitation of her mother). However she loved the outcome when only one name would do, thus she was named Aurora (meaning Sunrise\dawn) as the arrival had yet again brought light into their lives.

When Luna was 11 she was playing with Aurora on the fields surrounding the family home, Aurora was going through a difficult stage of behaviour and being a naughty 9 year old at the time she stumbled upon a hornets nest. Aurora decided to throw stones at, aggravating the swarm who gave chase. Luna in an attempt to protect her particularly annoying sister at the time, grabbed her and ran across the field and met with an unexpected nettle patch before diving into a small nearby river and submerging themselves until the threat had passed. Luna came away from the experience with Cnidophobia (sting fear) as a result.

When she was 16 Luna was able to speak and spend more time with her father’s sister Aunt Jaya who was on shore leave from her assignment with Star Fleet Security. Luna was in awe of Jaya’s bravery and dedication, also loving her quirky nature. Jaya encouraged her niece to join Star Fleet which she did at her soonest opportunity, after convincing her mother to let her go (of course).

Today Luna is out wanting to see new worlds and explore the stars, making her family proud.
