|Position=First Officer
Upon graduating from Starfleet Academy, Midshipman Kaiser was assigned to the USS Yeager SC-8018 where he was the helmsman under Captain Joseph Valiant and the Chief Tactical officer Lieutenant Commander Amalek Barrett. While on shoreleave on Collins IV, Kaiser was poisoned and was clinically dead until the use of a highly experimental technique by Doctor Callum Hicks saved his life. He later piloted the ship during the retaking of Space Station Sierra 18 and flew a shuttle getting a detachment of marines to the station and assisted them in their mission of helping retake the station. During the retaking of the station, Petty Officer Second Class Thomas Varitek was killed. This was the first, but unfortunately not the last, person to die under Kaiser's supervision.

He was then assigned to Space Station Sierra 18. During his time on the Yeager and Sierra 18, Kaiser became close friends with then Chief Engineer Julia Nielson. A friendship that was tried during an Ion Storm that struck the station causing many of the crew to lose their minds. Kaiser was forced to stun Nielson before she could shoot herself with a phaser.

|Painful=Losing his fiancee to death and then learning it was all a deception and she had defected to wife, Layna Glau, in an attack by the Romulan EmpireReaper.
|Time=Getting to know the crew of the Space Station Sierra 18 shortly after the station was conquered back from the pirates.
|Crucial=His captivity as a Prisoner of War during the Second Romulan War and his experience witnessing the end of an alternate universe where he existed for eternity before being returned to his normal universe. The impacts of the latter experience are still yet to be realized.
