A shipyard is a facility where starships are constructed, repaired, or refitted.

  • They can be ground-based or free-floating in space.
  • A person in charge of a shipyard is known as a Yard Superintendent.


Drydocks (orbital facilities) are often found at shipyards, as part of the construction.
