A plasma relay (also known as an EPS relay) is a portion of the EPS system used to distribute plasma throughout starships and other vessels.
These types of relays have been widely used on Vulcan, Federation, and Dominion ships.
When a plasma relay is damaged, it produces radiation which can be detected by another starship.
