Mariposa is an inhabited planet in the Ficus sector.
Classified as Class M, this ringed world was settled by Humans from the SS Mariposa in the mid-22nd century.
These colonists would be known as Mariposans, later merging with a neighboring colony to be known as the "United Ficus Colony."
History
After dropping the Bringloidi colony off half a light year away in the early 22nd century, the Mariposans crash-landed on their own planet, and all but five colonists were killed.
In 2365, the USS Enterprise-D evacuated the colonists from Bringloid V to Mariposa, and the two colonies merged.
