Iverson's Disease is a chronic degeneration of muscular functions, and affects Humans and Betazoids. It is not contagious.

It causes fatal degeneration of motor skills, though it does not impair mental faculties. The time frame for this disease depends on the patient, and varies from a few months to several years.

Example:
In 2359, Admiral Jameson was diagnosed with this illness, and attempted to alleviate the symptoms by using an alien drug from Cerberus II to reverse the aging process.
While at first, this appeared successful, Jameson's overuse of the drug eventually killed him.

There is no known cure, and no known cases of remission.
