The atmosphere was measured at 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen, and the equator's diameter was 7,917 miles.
This planet was cited as evidence of Hodgkin's Law of Parallel Planetary Development. The English language had evolved, and a parallel of the Roman Empire existed here. By Starfleet's 23rd century, the planet had technology such as radio communications, road system and powered transportation, but did not have atomic power. Gladiatorial arena games were regularly televised, and though they had slaves, those slaved had rights to medicine and government payments in their old age.
In 2268, Captain Kirk and the Enterprise visited 892-IV, investigating the debris of a Federation ship that had crashed there.
