 Korza was taken in by his grandfather at a young age while on Trill after his parents, Jolim Tiir and Seniah Tiir, disappeared for unknown reasons. Korza was raised by his grandfather, Virtu Tiir, on Trill in a heavily populated city. Virtu Tiir was a cold man who never showed any affection towards Korza and often left Korza by himself. Korza always felt as if he was a burden to his grandfather and ran away from home at the age of twelve. Due to growing up alone he has adapted to where he does not contact with other people in order to feel fulfilled. Korza learned martial arts from many different masters in order to strengthen his resolve and ability to function without the assistance of others. He is a survivalist in every sense of the word. Korza can adapt to situations without much effort and does not stress easily. Korza was formally schooled on Trill while living with his grandfather. Upon leaving his home he continued to attend school for some time and acted as if he was still living at home. After a year of schooling, it became too difficult to keep up the charade of a normal life. Korza left Trill on a freighter he was able to stow away on. After the freighter left the planet, Korza was located and joined the crew in order to support his passage. Korza became close with the captain's son, Jackson Yuli, and developed a near family relationship with the captain and his son. While onboard the ship, Captain Yuli pushed schooling on Korza and Jackson despite their original resistance. Korza managed to graduate primary school with high honors and even attended some secondary schooling through holoprograms. Captain Yuli's freighter was destroyed by pirates while on a transport trip from Trill to a neighboring system. Nearly all hands were lost on the ship with the exception of Korza and a medical officer. Korza was joined with his symbiont following the destruction of his freighter as a joined Trill died from injuries sustained in the attack, Korza was the only Trill available to keep the symbiont Ves alive. Korza spent four days drifting in space with only himself and the medical officer aboard.  Due to Korza's isolated nature, it is difficult for him to get close to people as he fears that they will only disappear. Many people are hesitant with Korza as he does not appear to be a friendly individual. While Korza does not mind being left alone, he often finds himself desiring more in his life. Korza joined Starfleet after the destruction of the freighter he was on. Korza had managed to obtain a recommendation from a Starfleet Captain who was friends with Captain Yuli. Korza found that Captain Yuli had written a letter recommending Korza to join Starfleet as his talents would be better spent assisting others than traveling from one planet to another delivering supplies.   |Majors=Security with a focus in communications and tactics.|Minors=Minor in linguistics and astrophysics|Hobbies=Korza enjoys spending time sparring and working on improving his survival skills. |Short=Assist in repelling a boarding party. |Long=Become the Chief of Security on a Starfleet ship.|Personality=Korza appears to be standoffish when you first meet him.
