The USS Titania was named after the largest of moon of the planet Uranus in the Sol system. The moon itself was named after the queen of the fairies in Shakespeare's ''A Midsummer Night's Dream''

*USS Titania (AK-55/AKA-13) was an Arcturus-class attack cargo ship, launched in 1942 for the US Navy, served during World War II and in the Korean War, decommissioned in 1955.
