| History=Ruby is the daughter of Andrew and Annabelle Fox, she is a twin and has a brother called Ross. Unlike many humans, Ruby was born in a human colony on the planet of Andorra whilst her parents were working exploring the terrain and climate of the planet. Both her parents are scientists, exploring what makes the home suitable for the Andorian race and studying Andorian physiology which ensures their survival in the extreme notable coldness of the planet.
When she was a little she made it out of the secure confines of the colony and out into the vast chilly wilderness of the planet. Being an adventurous child, Ruby was always seeking more to her experiences and wondering what was over the horizon in the great beyond. On this occassion however, the young child was caught out in a blizzard striving to find the strength to make it back to the warm, Ruby collapsed in the cold. Her father came running to the desperate screams of the young girl, rescuing her from certain hypothermia. Ruby didn't get away unaffected though, fighting off several reaccuring bouts of pnumonia before regaining her strength fully thanks to the advances of medical science.
Whilst being schooled on Andorra, she met her best friend Ellie Matthews. Ellie was a wild and curious spirit, who shared the same adventurous streak in her nature. Ruby's parents took them both on several holidays, but the most memorable one for Ruby would have to be exploring the Ice Caves on the planet. She had always been fascinated by tales of Andorians of pure white complexion, who were blind. Ruby had always wanted to meet such an Andorian on her journey through the caves, however they are known for being recluse and remain hidden and with that she has never been able to meet such an Andorian in her life yet. Ruby did not get away from her share of heartaches though when Ellie, who had gone on to explore more of Andorra upon leaving school, met her untimely death due to a cave in which made it impossible for medical teams to reach her before the effects of hypothermia took their toil on the young woman.
With this in her past, Ruby was eager to protect and serve in active service in Starfleet. She joined the Academy, meeting another best friend Zoe Anderson. When they both graduated the Academy as Security officers, Zoe went to go and serve within Starfleet Security on a starbase and Ruby received an assignment aboard the USS Stardrifter. Even though they are seperated, both Ruby and Zoe remain friends to this day.
In time though, her time at the Academy had come into the spotlight once again, this time in the form of a communication from the Academy offering her a job as a Instructor to Cadets. She had graduated the Academy herslf with flying colours and so she could not let this opportunity pass her by.
To this day Ruby remains a dedicated abd passionate Instructor, in the faculty at Starfleet Academy.
