|History=Born Emily Hansen, she spent most of her childhood in the New England region of Earth’s North American Continent. After graduating from the [[Star Fleet Academy|Academy]], Emily served aboard the [[Excelsior Class#Ships commissioned|USS Crazy Horse]] during the [[Dominion War]]. Later assigned to the [[Excelsior Class#Ships commissioned|USS Repulse]], she served as a Lt. Commander and [[Chief of Security]]. During this time she met [[Mission Log 1 - Stardate 20211.01 "Fragments of Sorrow"|Chris McCullough]]<ref>[[Mission Log 1 - Stardate 20211.01 "Fragments of Sorrow"|McCullough]] would die many years later while serving as [[Daniel Wueste|Dan Wueste’s]] First Officer on the [[USS Gettysburg, BC-1863|Gettysburg]]. As the death occurred during an unauthorized, rogue operation that Wueste had ordered, Emily holds a significant personal grudge against him for allowing McCullough’s death.</ref>, with whom she developed a deep friendship. She served aboard the [[Excelsior Class#Ships commissioned|Repulse]] for more than a decade, eventually becoming a Commander and the ship’s [[First Officer]]. Upon promotion to Captain, Emily took a job at [[Star Fleet Command]] on [[Earth]] as a Security Advisor. Shortly prior to her transfer [[Mission Log 1 - Stardate 20211.01 "Fragments of Sorrow"|McCullough]] proposed, an offer of marriage she declined.

During that time she met John Scott and the two were married just prior to her promotion to Commodore and assignment as Commander of [[Star Fleet Security Command|Star Fleet Security]]. Over the many years that have followed, Emily and John have had two children and she has risen to the rank of full Admiral.
