|History=Toroll had a mild childhood in comparison to many he has come across, he was fairly well behaved, and he had it pretty easy. Being the only child of Tal’all of house Khet, and Savorn Jarka from New Bajor Colony, Toroll always had plenty of attention from his parents, that is when they weren't busy running their restaurant they started long before he was born.

Growing up, Toroll had quite the temper, and it got him into his fair share of trouble, but when you are half Klingon, it's amazing what people let you get away with, as if it was expected behaviour. It didn't hurt that his mother, Tal’all was usually not too far away, and always know what to say to calm the Klingon in him.

Toroll always looked up to his father, the patience he had to deal with one and a half Klingons on a daily basis. He know his father wanted better for his son, and was disappointed when he first enlisted in Starfleet. He know Toroll could do better, and was even more disappointed that he didn't even try. He never let it show though, he always supported him with enthusiasm and encouragement.

Eight years prior to him reinlisting as an officer, when Toroll enlisted in starfleet, his parents decided to move their restaurant to earth so they could be close to him. They were astonished by the popularity of their fusion cuisine, and after Toroll got his first posting, they decided to stay on Earth for a while. After the Krynar war, during the reconstruction of Starbase Charlie, they were approached to move their restaurant back to the far off starbase, bring some local love, and life where people could find a piece of home. Honoured by the request, they obliged eagerly.

Toroll was content being a Crewman working in Engineering for Starfleet, that is at least he had his short stint on the Leviathan. The Leviathan was an experimental refit Zeus class light cruiser. On its maiden voyage, all the officers vanished from the ship, and Toroll was left as the highest ranking crewman in Engineering. This taste of leadership and responsibility ignited something in him that he never knew was there. After being rescued by the Klingons during a pirate ambush in the Gamma quadrant, and being escorted back to starbase Charlie, Toroll decided it was time to start fresh at the academy to become an officer.
