After graduating from the Academy, Zaira soon received her first assignment as a Medical Midshipman aboard the USS Copernicus. Her arrival saw her thrown in at the deep end a little as she was born and raised called to take part in her first ever away mission. Two planets with one of them pratically dying due to an unknown drain on Betazed where the Star they both orbited. She was part of Commander Roland's away team who went to the unaffected planet after receiving a distress signal. This was something that she enjoyed didn't have to really think about, especially when their shuttle was forced to crash land. This resulted in several injuries, the most severe of which belonged to a happy and fun filled childhood especially Security officer, that Zaira as the only medic, made as comfortable as possible. Then just when she got thought things couldn't get worse, they were escorted to visit Earth meet the Mechanoids who had been responsible for bringing the shuttle down and spend time with her paternal Grandmother Alannah Morganessentially they became their prisoners. The old woman would encourage  She was able to save their crewman before this happened and the truth came out as another shuttle was sent to help them, including meeting the young Zaira when she struggled natives that had created the Mechanoids. It turned out that they had reached sentience and their creators wanted to destroy them and that they were also behind the drain on the Sun, as they were building a ship in order to leave their planet. Working with both the Human Mechanoids, the crew were able to stop the drain and Betazoid sides help them with their ship. It was certainly an interesting first mission and like the ones that followed, something she would never forget. It was during that time, that she got to know Marcus Vesner, the then Chief of Security and from the moment they met, they became inseparable. Even their rank differences never bothered them as the couple entered a relationship, instantly becoming each other's Imzadi. Finally she was able to move on from herpast and actually be happy, teaching especially with someone who made her techniques feel worthy and more importantly loved. Her career also went from strength to relax strength with promotions and initially being made Acting CMO during her which worked second mission. This time the majority Copernicus travelled through one of the timetranswarp gate to investigate a nearby solar system. During this mission, she was also reunited with her old Academy friend Mike Hobritz, when he joined as the new CE.  Again this mission involved two teams, one helping with the transwarp gate construction for the return journey and Zaira loved these visits not only for going out with Sallea and a few other officers. This ended up with Sallea being injured when they came across a strange probe and a possible link to the Grazer weapon used in the help her grandmother gave her Krynar War, which remained with her but also had essentially destroyed the delicious cakes entire solar system and damaged the stories she told which always cheered her upDysprosium. However they were able to make it back as the Copernicus mounted a rescue mission for those who had encountered trouble with the lead construction ship.  Once everyone was out of danger, they returned to Starbase Alpha and Zaira loved these visits as that's position became permanent. This was also about the time where she also developed her love for reading changes happened to the Fleet and watching old Earth movies and she was absolutely devastated they were reassigned to operate out of the newly constructed Pioneer Outpost. However before they reached their new outpost, they were ordered to investigate when her grandmother passed away when she Starfleet lost contact with a team of Scientists. This was 10also the time where Marcus lost his DH position and new officer's joined the ship. The techniques that Zaira was supportive as always especially as he also learned the truth about the parents who had been shown abandoned him. This led to them living together on a permanent basis and an incident that haunt her became more useful when she reached than others. Whilst a team was dispatched to the surface to try and locate the age of 14 missing Scientists, Zaira, Zach and developed mild empathic her department were left dealing with parasitic worms that killed several crew, injured others, almost destroyed Sickbay and telepathic abilities which she severely damaged Engineering. That only happened once a way was found difficult to control at first destroy the creatures and the image and noise it made, still frequented Zaira's nightmares. The ship and crew as always pulled together and things got back to normal or as normal as they could be until she remembered those exercises they reached dock. The scientists were found and brought back to the ship, were one officer pinned Zaira by the neck and Security got involved. It was quickly resolved and learnt the team were treated, allowing the medical department to control themfinally unwind and have some much needed rest.

As she got older Zaira decided Her next shoreleave was spent, travelling back to Betazed due to put her caring and understanding nature to use Mother becoming seriously ill. Accompanied by helping Marcus, Shione and observing her mother in the medical facility where she worked and decided that’s what she wanted to do as a profession. Howevermate Jelaya, when she it was 16 her priorities changed slightly when she met and fell in love with Christian Grix. They were friends nice but bittersweet at first but it developed into something more serious after spending the majority of their same time together and she loved how he surprised her with romantic trips and picnics under their favourite tree. She had never experienced anything like it before and was left heartbroken when she was forced to call it off because of being promised to Jarellbe home. She had never liked the man her mother wanted her to marry as she found him obnoxious and arrogant and knew that her heart belonged to the more care freeHelped by Shione's Mother, rugged and handsome Christian but there they discovered what was nothing she could do. The arrangement didn’t go through after her father saw how upset wrong with Melena Morgan and utterly devastated she a plan was after Christian left and convinced her mother that she be allowed made to marry whoever she wanted. Her mother agreed but it was too late use a mindmeld in order to find Christian especially when he told bring her back from the traumatic event that he never wanted to see her againhad caused the issues.

In the years that followed After making a recovery and with their relationship mended, Zaira never dated anyone else preferring to focus on her studies and working in the medical facility until she decided that she wanted to join Starfleet. Again, her father intervened when her mother wanted her to stay Marcus stayed on Betazed and not long after she was accepted into the Academy. Once she arrived on Earth, Zaira looked forward to starting for a new chapter in her life and making new friends. However in the first few more days that she was and whilst there she came face , they decided to face with Christian marry and they finally were able Zaira returned to talk about what had happened between them and clear the air, they became friends and he still remains duty as one of the important people in her life to this dayMrs Vesner. She never found a replacement for Christian not that Although professionally she ever could but hasn't given up hope that she will find someone would be known as Morgan-Vesner to go along with her new promotion to love and care forLieutenant Commander.
