The process is irreversible, and is tailored to each individual prisoner. The Argrathi claim that this punishment, due to its tailoring, makes it more efficient and use advanced technology effective than maintaining a real prison system.  During a visit to Argratha in 2372, Miles O'Brien was accused of espionage by the Argrathi, due to implant his curiousity about their prisoners' minds technology. He was subsequently implanted with fictional events the memories of twenty cycles of imprisonment. Once Starfleet was contacted, he was freed, offering [what the officer thought of as ] a form of hollow apology. Officer O'Brien suffered acute PTSD due to the Argrathian punishment.

Commander William T. He did direct the Defiant crew to Callinon VII, where they had been instructed to send all inquiries.
In the following year, the Karemma began conducting trade with the Federation2366, exporting goods such as Karemman fleece. clearOnce a great civilization, their resistance against the Dominion earned them unwanted attention. In the mid-22nd Century, the Jem'Hadar infected the Teplans with a Blight that was incurable.   The terrible disease infected everyone, including children who were still in the womb. Most people died from the Blight, with few infected children able to reach adulthood. The final stage of the disease was incredibly painful, as the Blight "quickened" and destroyed their body.
After generations of these conditions, their technology had been all but lost, with their population declining at a dangerous rate. Their culture became obsessed with death, and the easing of pain, rather than any kind of forward progress. Any medical professional that remained were only able to offer little more than relief from the pain of Quickening and a clean, warm bed to die in.  In 2372, Doctor Julian Bashir was able to develop an inoculation that would prevent future generations from catching the Blight.   clear === Tosk ===

Tosk, a name which means "The Tosk Hunted", are a race of reptilian-humanoidspecies that had no personal designations (names). <br>The Tosk's from the Gamma Quadrantsolar system had a K-Class star, with a magnitude of +9.   This species was bred and trained to be prey animals in a ritual hunt for a species whose names were only known as the "Hunters." The Hunters would track, capture, and ritualistically kill the Tosk, and it was said that the Tosk were only sentient because the Hunters made them so. To a Tosk, the purpose and meaning of life was to outsmart and escape a Hunter or Hunters and live to see another day. The Tosk culture became pride in escaping the Tosk, and then dying with honor by a Tosk hand. In Hunter society, Tosk were seen as valued, and were treated with respect and admiration.
They are bred and trained to become the quarry in a ritual hunt for another race, known as the Hunters. Tosk are only sentient because the Hunters made them this way (this implies a degree of genetic engineering on their part). The meaning of life for a Tosk is to outsmart the Hunters for another day. The only greater dishonor for a Tosk than being captured and returned to their home planet alive is to seek protection from another race. They take an oath of silence regarding the hunt preventing them from even talking about it with anyone else. The Tosk are treated with respect and admiration by the Hunters.
Tosk are well equipped to outsmart their hunters, presumably have the ability to make the hunt as exciting and interesting for the Hunters as possible. Tosk can make themselves invisible to the naked eye (although, though they could still be 'seen' via sensors can still locate them, and the Hunters have a device in their helmets that can scan for them). They also have posses great agility , and only require required 17 minutes of rest per rotationday to be refreshed. They may or may not require food or drink as Tosk have liquid Liquid nutrients could be stored in plasmic fibers located throughout their bodies. Somehow, though it is unknown how these nutrients are initially created/taken they were able to understand the mechanics of engineering, and had ships that could travel inspace.   When a Tosk encountered a species that was not a Tosk or Hunter, they were often nervous and guarded, as there was no trust or understanding between them. A farewell of respect from a Tosk consists of them grasping the recipient's upper arms with their hands and wishing that, when their time comes, they die with honor.
In 2369, a Tosk became the first visitor to the Alpha Quadrant through the Bajoran wormhole. He was convinced to dock at Starbase Deep Space 9 for repairs. The Tosk's ship was a one-person vessel, with standard systems, which enabled Chief O'Brien to repair his ship easily. O'Brien later helped the Tosk evade the Hunters, to retain his honor, rather than be captured alive.

The Kobali are a humanoid Delta Quadrant species. They are warp-capable with a technology level comparable to that of Star Fleet. Their medical knowledge is more advanced, however, as they can reanimate someone who is dead for more than two weeks. Kobali also have high regards for every life which is honored by the saying 'Never harbor anger towards those who have brought you death for they gave you the chance to live again.'  Kobali do not procreate to get offspring like other species; they salvage dead sentient life forms which they reanimate. Over a period of several months the DNA of the reanimated life form is altered by means of a genetic pathogen that converts most of the DNA into a Kobali protein structure. These biochemical changes affect every part of the body, leaving only trace amounts of the original DNA. After this he or she is given an Kobali name and placed in a Kobali family to help them acclimate. Reanimating is the most important Kobali custom which can be of conflict with other species burial customs when they occasionally meet. Reanimation causes extensive memory loss and some people will remember parts of their former life, better known as kyn'steya. There are people who remember so much that it will force them to escape in search of their former life. They will be searched for by other Kobali to return them home. Kobali physiology differs from humans. They have a six-lobed brain and a binary cardiovascular system. The Kobali form cannot be reversed because there is not enough original DNA present after the alteration to do this. It is, however, possible to change a person's appearance by inaprovaline injection, which needs to be repeated to maintain the life form's previous appearance. This only helps for a short period of time because the Kobali genetic pathogen will undo the changes. There is not much variety in the Kobali diet; their main food looks like gray paste. When tasting other foods like a Jibelian berry salad, it will have a metallic flavor to them. Kobali made first contact with Humans in 2376 via the starship USS Voyager when they were searching for a Kobali who escaped her family in search of her former life. This contact did not proceed smoothly, but fortunately hostilities ended before they escalated. This is the only contact that the Kobali have had with Star Fleet. clear  === Kohl ===
