Rotciv are a humanoid species, widely dispersed throughout the Alpha, Beta, and Delta Quadrants.

They became warp-capable sometime before what Earth calls the 21st Century, and were already present among the traders on Rigel X by 2151. By the late 23rd Century, a number of Rotcivs were enlisted in Starfleet, with one noted to have served on the USS Excelsior in 2293.

Frequently nomads, you can find Rotcivs everywhere, including working on freighters or for shadier bosses. However, Rotcivs have also been commended medics, especially during the Federation-Klingon war in 2373.

Their presence in the Delta Quadrant was noted by Captain Janeway.

The Argelians are a humanoid species that hail from the planet Argelius II, though natives call the planet "Nelphia." They became members of the Federation in 2230.  Outwardly identical to Humans, the Argelian race is known for its hedonistic, peace-loving nature. This was acquired after undergoing a period in Argelian history known as the "Great Awakening," circa the 2060s, which fundamentally reformed their society from violent to peaceful. Since the Great Awakening, the Argelians have adopted a pacifist way of life, deploring any form of violence.   Since this species is so focused on pleasure, they choose to import administrative officials from other worlds to maintain order, rather than doing the governing themselves. Unfortunately, this almost led to a planetary judicial crisis in 2267, when three murders were committed. Punishment for this crime dated back to before the Awakening, and would have been death by way of slow torture. Fortunately for the Argelians' morals, the aggressor was a non-coporeal lifeform, and the execution did not go through.   Some Argelians possesses psychic powers, but it is not a common characteristic. Their lifestyle and clothing, along with the architecture of their buildings, has been compared to "Middle Eastern" countries on Earth.

Their leader at the time, a philosopher named Landru, became deeply concerned that the raging wars would destroy all life on the planet. The computer grew to eventually exert absolute control over the thoughts and feelings of the entire planetary population. The computer also created "the Body", similar to a hive mind, which eliminated hate, fear, and conflict, put an end to war, disease, and crime.

The pre-spaceflight Ekosians, as a result of their wars, were in a state of anarchy in the mid-23rd century. This drew the attention of their sister world, Zeon, which had managed to live in peace for many generations, and had developed the beginnings of interplanetary spaceflight. Many Zeons came to Ekos in an effort to help their neighbors learn peaceful ways.

Subverted by his Ekosian Deputy Führer Melakon, Gill's best intentions quickly fell apartwent to Ekos in an effort to help their neighbors learn peaceful ways.
Using the Nazi model, Melakon used the presence of Zeons on Ekos in much the same way as Hitler used the Jews of Germany and Europe: as scapegoats blamed for Ekos' problems and declaring them a threat to be eliminated. With the technology elicited from Gill, Melakon rapidly upgraded Ekosian weapons. By 2268 the "Final Decision", a genocidal invasion on the planet Zeon, was preparing for deployment.
The USS Enterprise NCC-1701Federation also took note of the chaos of Ekos, assigned and dispatched a historian to discover what had happened act as a cultural observer to John Gillthe upheaval. The regime created by Gill and Melakon proved to be weaker than their German model; the Nazi government and "Final Decision" was not embraced by all of Ekos. They use surveillance on passing ships for future raids. This is done by special surveillance ships, hiding in nebulae for example, who use sensors to assess the tactical risk of attacking passing vessels and the available loot. They use cloaked ships to sneak up on vessels. They have several different attack patterns, at least the patterns Stealth approach 1 through 4, which use increasing amounts of energy. The Hierarchy is meticulous when it comes to use of energy and resources on its vessels. Every planned use is to be reported and consulted with the Hierarchy, attempting maximum efficiency.
A type 3 approach involves four vessels coming up on the target cloaked, decloaking within its direct vicinity and firing a warning shot across the shields. A type 4 approach involves rotating phaser frequencies and firing the first shot a direct hit, before contacting the target and placing an ultimatum. This assault drains significantly more energy, and is only used under extenuating circumstances. A type 3 approach was planned The Jorans are known to attack the Federation starship USS Voyager, but when short range scans conflicted with long range recon, be governed by a type 4 approach was used. However, the ships eventually withdrew in fear of the photonic cannon, an imaginary weapon of the Doctor's designGrand Council.
The Hierarchy itself is regularly consulted by crew of its ships using a special communication system. The current situation is detailed on a sort of PADD, then entered in a slot next to a display, which is cylindrical in form. After a few moments, rectangle colored lights appear on the display to indicate the Hierarchy's decision. Judging by the response time, the Hierarchy is either extremely well organised, or a limited number of people have to consent, or it involves a computer system.

The Metrons are a powerful, enigmatic species whose government is known as the Metron Consortium.
The Metrons were first encountered by United Federation of Planets representatives in 2267. In that year, Captain James T. Kirk ordered the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 to pursue a Gorn vessel that had destroyed the observation outpost located on Cestus III.
The Metrons were first encountered by United Federation of Planets representatives in 2267. In that year, Captain James T. Kirk ordered the USS Enterprise to pursue a Gorn vessel that had destroyed an observation outpost located on Cestus III. As the pursuit passed the uncharted solar system, known as 2466 PM, the Enterprise was scanned. The , the Gorn vessel inexplicably slowed was stopped, and stopped. Thinking Kirk assumed they planned were posturing to fight, Kirk prepared to engage; and the Enterprise likewise slowed and stopped. Both But both ships were held in place by the solar system; , not by tractor beamsbeam or by spatial forces, but rather by a power the Enterprise'an unidentifiable power'could not detect. The Metrons declared both ships to be savages, and removed each Captain to a neutral planet to fight to the death. When Kirk won, but chose to spare the Gorn, his mercy surprised the Metrons. They then returned each Captain to this ship, and were able to relocate the Federation ship 1,600 light years from its previous position.
The Metrons, declaring both species savages, prepared a planet and removed the captain of each ship to it. There, they would fight to the death, and the outcome of this contest would determine which ship survived, and which was destroyed.
Eventually, Kirk won In this fightone encounter, but elected to spare his helpless opponent. This demonstration of mercy surprised the Metrons, whose analysis demonstrated many formidable abilities: manipulation of energy forms unknown to the situation did not lead them Federation; scanning at great ranges; transportation of matter over great distances; and possibly terraforming planets to expect itspecific requirements. A Metron appeared to Kirk, All this suggests their science and suggested technology is hundreds or thousands of years more advanced than that, although of the Federation was still half savage, there might be hope for it in a few thousand years. The Metrons then returned Kirk to the Enterprise and transported the ship 1,600 light years away from their space.
The Metrons demonstrated the ability to manipulate forms of energy unknown to Federation science: to perform comprehensive scans at great range, to transport matter great distances instantly, and perhaps to rapidly terraform planets to specific requirements. All of these feats were well beyond what even 24th century Federation technology can accomplish. This suggests their science and technology is hundreds or thousands of years more advanced than that of the Federation.
Metrons have long lifespans; the representative that met Kirk was approximately 1,500 years old, despite appearing as little more than a boy. His comment to Kirk suggests suggested an interest in the political and sociological geometry of the galaxy that was thousands of years henceold. It is possible that this perspective is a consequence of this long lifespan.  They conducted trade with the Verillians in 2373.

The Mintakans are a proto-Vulcan humanoid species native to Mintaka III, who exist in a Bronze Age state of technology. Despite their relatively minimal technological advancement, Mintakan culture is highly empirical and by 2366 they had long since has rejected the notion of a god or other supernatural beings and . As of 2366, these people had already been collecting recording astronomical and archaeological data for several generations.
In 2366, a Federation anthropological team studying the Mintakans accidentally exposed the primitive culture to 24th century technology when the duck blind they were operating out of had a reactor failure. The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) responded to the situation and unknowingly worsened the cultural contamination when the Mintakans observed their comings and goings. As a result, the previously discarded beliefs in supernatural beings began to resurface in the village most directly affected. This would eventually lead to their mistaking Jean-Luc Picard for the Overseer, one of their gods. To avert the revival of religion, Captain Picard abducted the local leader, Nuria, to give her a guided tour of the ship to explain that the beings they discovered are simply mortals with advanced technology.
UnexpectedlyThis species was part of a scientific observational study conducted by the Federation in 2366. Unfortunately, Nuria believed that this the anthropological team was exposed when one of their reactors failed, causing their holographic "duck blind" to fail. When the provedUSS Enterprise that Picard was indeed responded, the cultural contamination deepened, and the OverseerMintakans' belief in gods returned. When they returned to the planetThey mistook Captain Picard for one of their old gods, Nuria finally believed and were only relieved of this belief when the truth when Picard Captain was almost killed by a Mintakan arrowwounded before their eyes.
Despite the cultural contamination occurred, the Mintakans were able to resume a somewhat natural society.
Despite the gross (though limited) cultural contamination by both the anthropological observation team and the Enterprise, the Mintakan villagers were able to resume their society at a natural pace.   Notes::* It has been documented that this may be a matriarchal society: Mintakan women always walk in front of the men as a sign of ownership, and to with stake out a negotiating position for any services that might be asked of the man.:* Knowledge of the Mintakan incident is restricted. In 2366, "Cadet Mitena Haro's" knowledge of the Enterprise's visit to Mintaka III led Captain Picard to realize she was an impostor.

Physically, Karemma are tall and slender with black or dark brown hair that is combed back. They have a head ridge, like Klingons, but smoother and without edges. The head ridge goes down, and over the nose. The ridge can be slightly seen to the chin of a Karemma. As a result of this ridge, their nose looks very large. Once they exited it, far from USS Voyager, they were hailed by a Chokuzan starship, who ordered them to surrender their vessel, as they were trespassing in Chokuzan space. The Crystalline EntityEntharans was are a powerfulhumanoid, spaceborne creature characterized by a crystalline structure that resembled a large snowflake. It had warp speed travel capability, formidable size, and -capable species found in the ability to consume all life on a planet or starshipDelta Quadrant. Its origin Their star system was somewhere in binary, and had two K-class stars.
The Entity functioned as a giant electromagnetic collector and needed constant power, converting organic matter into energy. Once the Entity ravaged a planet, its natural resources were completely stripped. No further life would be able to grow for many years. Everything, including vegetation and bacteria, was completely converted. Bitrious matter was usually deposited in the Entity's wake, as were elevated levels of hydrocarbons, lanthanides, and nitrates. The Entity was unable to penetrate rock lined with both kelbonite and fistrium. Both metals needed to be present in order to refract the Entity's absorption power. The shields of a Galaxy starship were also impervious to the Entity. Dr. Kila Marr was one of the Federation's foremost experts on the Crystalline Entity, studying twelve attack sites including Forlat III.
The Entity, to which thousands of deaths are attributed, attacked the planet Omicron Theta in 2336, stripping all living material from the entire colony and killing many inhabitants, including Raymond Marr, Kila MarrThis species's son. Colony residents Dr. Noonien Soong most distinctive feature is a a complex bone structure above and Juliana Soong both fled during the attack aboard an escape podaround their noses, although Juliana Soong was severely injured. The android Lore was an ally of the Entity and responsible for luring it to Omicron Theta. He tried to "feed" the crew of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D to the Entity after he was revived in 2364. Enterprises shields were enough to protect it from the Entity, and Lore was eventually transported into space. The Crystalline Entity retreated to parts unknownwhich contains a premaxilla bone.
In 2368They rely primarily on trade as a method of survival, the Crystalline Entity destroyed the fledgling colony and put great emphasis on Melona IVmaintaining good relations with their buyers. Two colonistsConsequently, including Carmen Davila, were lost in even an accusation of wrongdoing can end the attack. Most career of the colonists survived, thanks to a cavern lined with kelbonite and fistrium. The Enterprise rescued the survivors and brought Dr. Marr to the planet so she could further study the attack. She worked with Lieutenant Commander Data in order to develop a technique to communicate with the creaturean Entharan trader.
The Enterprise intercepted the Entity after it had killed the entire crew of a freighter, the Kallisko. They attracted the Entity by emitting graviton pulses at 10 per second from the Enterprise, as lower pulse rates had no effect on the creature. The creature approached the Enterprise, replying with a series of graviton pulses that the Enterprise crew interpreted as meaningful, but which it needed time to decode. Marr increased the pulse rate, eventually trying a continuous graviton emission. The Entity stopped emitting pulses of its own as the emissions drove it into resonance. Their ships Nygeans are relatively powerful and patrol Nasari space. They will attack without warning any ship carrying distinguished by a Taresian or a person who is in ridge that goes from the process top of becoming Taresiantheir forehead, down to their neck. Its (surviving) complement was comprised of a 3 Nygean guards, 3 Nygean prisoners, and 5 TaresianBenkaran prisoners.  When Voyager was pulled into The Void, they encountered another Nygean ship under the command of Captain Garon. The Nygean ship, which had been trapped in the void for a long time, was the first to enter into an alliance with Captain Janeway, which was later comprised of several more species.  In a joint effort, they discovered that a Polaron modulator would be able to create a shield bubble large enough to encompass all the Alliance ships, and the Nygeans were a large help in the construction of one. When Bosaal was asked to leave the alliance, he took several ships with him, but the Nygeans decided to stay. Within days, the Nygean ship, and all Alliance members had escaped the Void. The Nygeans said goodbye to Captain Janeway, as they were heading in the opposite direction, and wished them luck on their journey home.

In the 2370s, they were engaged in a war with the Banean species, with whom they once shared a homeworld. A paranoid and aggressive species, they will challenge any intruder into the war zone. They make use of such advanced technology as regenerative shielding, their weapons are also equivalent of that of a Federation Intrepid vessel. Their vessels are small but advanced enough to stand up to an assault by a Starfleet vessel, however, their sensor technology cannot automatically detect the presence of a Starfleet shuttlecraft.
Physically, they are humanoids who release a unique pheromone. This affects other species, preventing them from remembering encounters with the Ramurans for more than a few hours. Due to technological enhancements, they are also immune to most forms of scanning technology (including tricorders).
In 2371They supplement their naturally understated nature with technology, Numiri agents attempted rendering them practically unknown to the surrounding civilizations. Their ships and personnel use cloaking devices and they use computer viruses to frame Voyager crew member Tom Paris for wipe any records of their assassination of Banean weapons designer Tolen Renexistence from alien computers.
As a consequence of their obsession with maintaining a covert society, it is illegal for a Ramuran to try to leave. Any who do are hunted by the tracers. This force often acts in secret but will work with others if forced, relying on their technology and natural ability to fade from memory. Once a fugitive is captured, they use a neurolytic emitter to remove the subject's memories of the outside world.

Unable to stop thinking of Chakotay, she returned a month later and requested political asylum on the ship. This was duly granted and Chakotay began to love her again, despite not remembering their previous encounter. Sadly she was found by another tracer named Curneth who wiped her memory. Unable to understand why she wished to leave Ramura, she left for good. All record of her was wiped by the tracers, but Chakotay used a pen and paper to record his experiences before the memories faded.  clear === Nygean Sakari ===

As a consequence of their obsession with maintaining a covert society, it is illegal for a Ramuran to try to leave. Any who do are hunted by the tracers. This force often acts in secret but will work with others if forcedIn 2372, relying on their technology and natural ability to fade from memory. Once a fugitive is captured, they use a neurolytic emitter to remove the subject's memories of the outside world. They were first encountered by the USS Voyager in 2374. A tracer named Kellin crept on board the ship while hunting a fugitive but was discovered by Lieutenant Commander Chakotay. When a cataclysmic war about 500,000 years ago ripped away their planet's atmosphere, Sargon and ten others chosen from both warring factions transferred their consciousnesses into spherical storage devices kept in a vault far beneath the surface. Sargon, his wife Thalassa, and Henoch, of the opposing faction, were eventually the only survivors - the other eight essences ceased to exist and their receptacles were dark. They were not true noncorporeal beings in that they required a receptacle to house their consciousnesses.

The Vaadwaur are a humanoid species from the Delta Quadrant. They are characterized by a midline cranial ridge and scaly flaps of skin around their necks. Vaadwaur culture bears similarities to that of the Klingons, in that they advocated confronting death without fear. It was common practice for Vaadwaur to encourage their children to fall asleep each night imagining a different way to die. Prior to the 15th century, the Vaadwaur discovered and mapped the Underspace, a vast network of subspace corridors that allowed them access to star systems throughout the Delta Quadrant. They used the Underspace for exploration, commerce, and conquest, earning them the envy and enmity of hundreds of species. The population of the Vaadwaur around that time was six billion. The Vaadwaur encountered the Borgduring their travels, who at the time had assimilated only a handful of star systems. Another of the races they encountered were the Talax-ilzay, modern Talaxians, whose folklore included stories of a "phantom army" that appeared out of thin air and destroyed entire colonies before disappearing. In the old Talaxian language, "vaadwaur" is a word that means "foolish", an admonishment to those who trusted the Vaadwaur. Numerous other, similar references also testify to the aggression of the Vaadwaur. Eventually, a coalition comprising the Turei and other species was formed to end the Vaadwaur threat once and for all. Their campaign culminated in the orbital bombardment of the Vaadwaur homeworld in 1484, which was believed to have resulted in the extinction of the Vaadwaur. The Turei subsequently claimed the Underspace for themselves. A Vaadwaur battalion, numbering 600, managed survived the attack underground in stasis units. Believing that the Turei coalition would quickly disintegrate after their defeat, they intended to reawaken in five years and reclaim one of their former colonies. However, a technical malfunction left them in stasis until they were discovered by the crew of the USS Voyager, 892 years later in 2376. The Trabe went so far as to provoke the various Kazon sects into fighting amongst themselves in order to keep them under control. Outsiders, such as the Talaxians, knew the Trabe as a highly cultured species. The Trabe did not reveal the truth regarding their oppression of the Kazon, and other governments did not intervene for fear of losing trade opportunities.  In 2346, Jal Sankur united the Kazon sects in rebellion against their Trabe oppressors, forcing them to flee their homeworld. The various sects took control of much of the Trabe space fleet, using it for their own ends, and soon began fighting amongst themselves once again, but they remained united in preventing the Trabe from finding a new homeworld.  In 2372, attempts by Captain Kathryn Janeway of the Federation starship USS Voyager to form an alliance with one or more Kazon sects led to her forming such an alliance with the Trabe instead. The Vaadwaur encountered the Borg during their travels, who at the time had assimilated only a handful of star systems.

Redjac is an intelligent, non-corporeal and non-humanoid entity which requires a humanoid host to enable it to feed. It has been encountered in the Alpha Quadrant, but its actual place of origin is unknown. Whether Redjac is a unique lifeform or a member of a species of similar lifeforms is also unknown.

It is composed of formless electromagnetic impulses. On the single occasion that it displayed its true form, it appeared as swirling masses of multicolored energy, but it is usually invisible.

To maintain its strength and to continue existing, Redjac needs to feed on the emotions of humanoids, specifically the emotion of fear. It accomplishes this by taking a humanoid as a host, and then using the host's body to commit brutal murders, thereby provoking strong quantities of terror for it to feed on. Redjac appears to be capable of inhabiting a humanoid host for as long as it requires, and can even remain after the death of the host by reanimating the body. It is able to use the host to communicate, and appears to also have access to the thoughts of its host, using them to act convincingly as the host between murders. For unknown reasons, Redjac almost always inhabits males, and kills females.

As well as humanoids, Redjac is also able to inhabit sophisticated computer systems. However, doing so appears to require more effort on Redjac's part than using a humanoid as a host. Redjac's origin is unknown, but it is known to have existed for several centuries. The earliest known appearance was in 1888 on Earth. By 2105, it had left Earth, travelling to the colonies on Mars, where it murdered eight women.

Given Redjac's unusual nature, there have been no confirmed encounters with it for many years.
