|Short=Master his meditation practices; Become a reliable member of a crew
|Long=Make Captain, Find out fate of biological parents
|Personality=Before Badlands period: Dresden was as happy-go-lucky and inquisitive as anyone his age at the time would have been. Due to his parents' pacifist beliefs, he didn't believe in violence and conflict scared him. While visits to Altair III and talks with his role model helped this fear, he still abhored violence.
During Badlands period: After the Oskar Schindler crashed, morale began to drop for the surviving crew as weeks turned into months. This was the beginning of the depression that would nearly consume him. After being rescued by the Decatur, the outcome of it caused Dresden to slip into a severe depression that manifested as severe insomnia and an intense anger. Turik gave him the tools and techniques to control this anger and give him a semblance of peace. Cassidy, though not able to completely bring him out of his introversion, she was able to give him some semblance of normalcy.

After Badlands period: Cool, calm, collected, and normally professional, he has even been mistaken for a Vulcan once or twice. While an asset during tense situations, it can make him seem a bit cold and standoffish in social settings, and a tendency to think but not speak doesn't help. He has tells that can sometimes be a dead giveaway to what he's thinking. Though it is never malicious, his responses can come as acerbic at times. He has a temper, but manages to keep it under control through focus and meditation. People who actually get to know him will find a kind, loyal soul.
|Humor=Dresden has a sense of humor like anyone, but it's guarded to the point of coming off as not having one. The most he usually gives is an amused snort or chuckle, maybe a grin. Those closest to him have seen legitimate smiles and laughs, even jokes. A running joke at the academy was "What's the difference between Dresden and a Vulcan? A Vulcan at least knows what a joke is."
