Interceptor

In spacecraft classification, an interceptor is a type of armed starship designed to intercept incoming or hostile craft.

Interceptors are most commonly, faster than most other types of starship. This, however, comes at the cost of most usually having weaker shielding, firepower, or being overall smaller.
