Developed by neurogeneticist Doctor Toby Russell, this is a medical device able to translate a particular genetic code into a specific set of replication directions which instruct the replicative device to "grow" a fitting replacement organ.
This instrument would be standard equipment on most starships, but would not be available on shuttles or for away teams.
