Life had thrown them both a curve ball so they had to adapt to the new family life with each other and little Gabriel. Harold and Michelle settled down in a small town and opened a small doctor’s office near the center of town. While Harold tended to the patients, Michelle ran the daily business aspects of the office. Gabriel spent his infant years in a makeshift play area in the corner of his parent’s office while his parents tried their best to make a life for him.

 |Painful=One day while at his parents office, one his is fathers’ patients started convulsing on the floor in the waiting room. Gabriel watched has his father tried to save the person’s life but was unable too. |Time=On a warm summer night when Gabriel and Kerri were teens, they both sat around a small bonfire after a taking a late-night swim. She was sitting next to him on a log, her arm wrapped around his and her head on his shoulder, both staring at the flame. It was in this moment that a rush of feelings flowed into Gabriel’s heart and mind. This was the first time Gabriel realized that he was falling in love with his best friend. |Crucial=Watching as his fathers’ patient died in front of his eyes while he could only just stand and do nothing.
