The Surface of Eden

Eden is the English name of a mythic planet located in the Romulan Star Empire in what was the former Federation/Romulan Neutral Zone. Though the planet appears lush and idyllic, all vegetation on the world is laced with acid and is toxic to humanoid life. Skin contact with the vegetation will produce severe burns, while ingestion of any vegetation results in death.

In 2269, a Federation scientist, Doctor Sevrin, and his followers hijacked the USS Enterprise and crossed into Romulan space to find Eden. Sevrin and one of his followers, Adam, died from eating poisonous fruit, and the rest of his followers were seriously injured from acid burns.

Eden has two moons.
