| History=<h3> Early Life </h3> Quillian’s childhood was nothing extraordinary. He grew up living sheltered life, which may have had something to do with some of his anti-social tendencies. His time was spent mostly on his or with his very small circle of friends. Throughout childhood, science was his passion. He studied everything he could find, but space especially fascinated him. He would spend hours at night laying on the hill behind his house, look up at the stars. Quill also loved to read. These two lead to his unpopularity in primary school. It also taught him not to open himself up to others, which usually lead to him getting hurt by those who he thought were his friends. This trend did not continue into his high school education, but never the less, the damage had been done. Quill rarely allowed himself to open up to others.
When Quill was 17 his father, Captain Thomas Dramar, went missing along with the entire crew of the USS, Tidal Wave NCC-7696. (For more information, see situation report BCGEH- 7696, classified level clearance required). His relationship with his father had not always been the greatest. Thomas Dramar was away on duty most of the time. Prior to his father’s disappearance, he had not said good bye to his father when he the chance and regretted this. He was initially hopeful that the Tidal Wave would be found and there would be a chance to patch he relationship with his father, but the years since then have convinced him that his father and the crew of the Tidal Wave are truly lost.
Starfleet Academy
It was the loss his father that finally convinced Quill to join Starfleet. He applied immediately after graduating at the top of his high school class. Dramar was accepted to Starfleet Academy where he perused his passion of science by becoming a science officer. Cadet Dramar specialized in Physics and Astronomy. He also took basic command courses. During his sophomore year, Cadet Dramar was caught dueling a fellow cadet who had made some less than respectful remarks towards his best friend and love interest, Cadet Samantha Hart. Thanks to the testimony of several of his professors, the Academy’s Conduct Review Board elected not to expel Cadet Dramar, but declared that he would join the Academy’s fencing team and perform grounds keeping work on the academy campus garden for the remainder of his time at the Academy. Little did Cadet Dramar know, but the skills he learned on the dueling team would save his life on multiple occasions. Though things did not work out between Samantha and Quill, the two of them are good friends to this day.
===USS Enterprise, NCC-1701-E ===Quillian graduated third in his class. Due to exemplary performance at the academy, he was promoted the rank of Ensign, a rare occurrence, on Stardate 20108.04. The promising Ensign’s first assignment was the USS Enterprise , NCC-1701-E]]. The “Mighty-E” was brought out of service as a museum ship in order to track down the Rear Admiral Kwalin, changeling, who among other things, had stolen the USS Pulsar. The Pulsar was the Federation’s first battleship, a truly dangerous weapon in the Kwalin’s hands. In order to recover the Pulsar, the Federation Council allowed the Enterprise to be temporarily fitted with the experimental inter-phasic cloaking technology Kwalin was researching. Assigned to team overseeing the use of inter-phase cloak, the young Ensign Dramar found himself on the cutting edge of science. Not only did this thrill the scientist in him, he was following in his father’s footsteps, making a difference in the galaxy. Thanks to the excellent performance of the cloaking system, the Enterprise crew successfully recovered the USS Pulsar. Kwalin escaped.
USS Philadelphia, FF-6053
Upon the completion of the Enterprise’s mission, Dramar was transferred to the newly commissioned USS Philadelphia, FF-6053 under the command of Captain Raymond Gage on star date 20108.16 where he served as Chief Science Officer.
Lieutenant Commander Dramar was on shoreleave aboard Starbase 1 during the Romulan assault turned Borg Invasion of Sector 001 on stardate 20211.14. In the ensuing chaos of the intruders beaming aboard the starbase, the Armageddon Directive was initiated, which began evacuation beam outs of crew and officials based on rank and station. Quill was nearly assimilated before the transporter beam whisked him away to relative safety aboard the Philadelphia. However, his escape was bittersweet. As the transporter beam enveloped him, Dramar was horrified to see his mother and sister, who had come to Starbase Alpha to spend the day with him, assimilated by the Borg.
Somehow, perhaps because of his training and the presence of the impending danger that threatened the ship, he was able to maintain composure. After the Philadelphia shot her way out of stardock, she fled the battle as ordered to initiate contact with the OrganiansOrganian s and ask for their assistance. She was hit by a glancing borg Borg weapon, and hurled through an open subspace conduit. Upon egress, the Philadelphia was in terrible shape. Many systems were off-line and to make matters worse, their estimates placed them over a year away from the nearest Federation outpost at high warp.
Due to the injury of the Philadelphia’s First Officer, Commander Avon, Lieutenant Commander Dramar was assigned to the position of Executive Officer. The damage to the ship was severe enough that it forced the crew to abandon the Philadelphia. The planet they landed on, the 4th planet in the E- 19 System, was inhabited by a highly advanced race known as the Em’sha. Despite a botched first contact that begun with a member of the crew shooting an Em’sha, The Em’Sha agreed to help the stranded crew. With their assistance, the Philadelphia was repaired and transported to the Vulcan system. In the massive battle that followed, it appeared that borg were defeated once and for all. Peace was once again established. In light of his service and valiant action Quill received several more commendations from his CO. In a special ceremony following the conclusion of the war, Quill was awarded the Gold Star and promoted to the rank of Commander by Fleet Admiral Jon Beckett.
With the departure of Captain Lanael from command due to injuries sustained during the Second Battle of Sol, command of the Philadelphia was turned over to an old friend of Quill’s, Captain Lucas Leeot, who selected him as First Officer. During this time, Quill’s relationship with Commander Goddard, who had been transferred to the USS Drake as First Officer, begun to deteriorate. It ended with Commander Goddard cheating on him and leaving him for another man. The betrayal left him in an emotional wreck. This was a period of lost time for Dramar. Fortunately, his friends and the time spent as First Officer helped him through it, leaving him stronger for it. The tensions resulting from the incursion of an unknown alien race and the conflicts that ensued help refocus his perspective and served to add a Starfleet Commendation Medal to his already impressive portfolio. The alien incursion also setup the next phase of his life.
USS Sheridan, DD-4086
On stardate 20404.12, Quillian was promoted to Captain and assigned as commanding officer of the U.S.S. Sheridan, DD-4086, a destroyer formerly under the command of Captain Himbog. Life as a CO took a bit of adjusting for the new Captain. No longer did he have anyone to oversee his decisions. Fortunately his First Officer, Commander Joseph Daher, served as a good advisor. The two became fast friends, though despite their friendship Daher had no qualms about objecting to a course of action he did not believe in.
====The Battle of Tansec====After settling in aboard the Sheridan, his first tactical assignment as CO was the joint strike force operation against the orion Orion pirate cartel operating in the Tansec Sector, which became known as the Battle of Tansec. During the battle, the Sheridan performed admirably. The tactical and command experience of small ship tactics Quill had gained as First Officer on the Philadelphia applied easily to the slightly larger Sheridan. Though she was a little less maneuverable than his beloved Philly, her teeth were much sharper. For his part in the operation, Dramar was awarded a Diamond Star. Dramar also defended the Federation against the reptilian aliens that attacked on Stardate 20412.05. with the Orion Dragon cartel all but destroyed, the last thing the young Captain expected was to face pirates yet again in his very next assignment.
Vengeful Eyes with a Ghostly Dagger
When listening posts detected the presence of phasic energy and chronoton particles in orion space, the Sheridan was sent to Sector 472 along the Federation/Orion boarder to investigate. While enroute to Sector 472, the Captain responded to a distress call from the Bootlegger, a Ferengi vessel, which was actually a slave runner. They successfully rescued the slaves continued to 472. Once they searched the area and collected remnants of the debris field which appeared to be the source of the phasic energy and chronoton readings. With evidence in hand, Quill ordered the Sheridan back to Starbase Alpha. Along the way they were attacked by a massive Orion battleship. Knowing that there was no way they could hope to defeat it on their own, the Sheridan retreated back towards Federation space warn Starfleet. Unfortunately, the Privateer caught up with them and knocked the Sheridan out of warp, heavily damaging her. Rather allowing the battleship free passage into the heart of the Federation, Quill was preparing to drop warp containment on the Sheridan’s warp cores in attempt to destroy the Privateer. Fate had other plans with the arrival of U.S.S. Exeter. The Sheridan and the Exeter were able to battle the Privateer to a standstill before they retreated back to Orion space. In recognition, Captain Dramar was awarded a Diamond Star for valiantly defending the Federation against an overwhelming threat.
The Cruel Puppeteer
After major repairs, the Sheridan was sent to respond to a distress call from the USS Jutland, CA-1029. The Jutland, which had been converted for deep space exploration, had disappeared over a year previously. When they found the Jutland, she was practically a dead stick, and the host of three alien intelligences, who had driven the crew mad and used them as “playthings.” Using the Jutland’s tractor beam, they captured the Sheridan and sought to tow her to their home planet, beyond the event horizon of the black hole the Jutland had explored. Dramar was forced to violate the prime directive, possibly destroying a planet inside the black hole, to save his ship and crew from the entities when he ordered the creation of an antimatter bomb to collapse the black hole in on itself, and created a star in the process. Although he saved his crew, the events of that mission would haunt him for years to come. He reluctantly accepted a Gold Star for his actions.
While on shore leave he attended a conference of the Federation Society for the study of Astrophysics. Deciding that he needed to reconcile his actions during the Jutland Incident, Quillian left the conference midway through and set off on a backpacking trip through the Hocking Forest of North America. Though the scenery was truly beautiful, he was restless and decided to cut his vacation short to return to duty
Pawns on the Pirateboard
His desire for something to take his mind off of the Jutland Incident was fulfilled when the Sheridan was selected for a covert mission by Starfleet Intelligence. His crew was to play the part of renegade deserters and infiltrate a pirate organization lead by the notorious Captain Abraham Winters. To help in this, Lieutenant Commander Mara Meagher transferred aboard as a strategic advisor. Thanks to the assistance she provided, Dramar was able make contact with Winters and arrange their integration, provided they proved their “loyalty” during a raid on a Federation freighter. Although the Sheridan crew was divided up among the pirate fleet, Dramar was able to retain command of his vessel through careful subterfuge.
During their time undercover, Mara was the only member of his senior staff to remain aboard the Sheridan, and as a result he came to rely heavily upon her. The two of them became close and spend shore leave together.
Colony Orange
After shoreleave, much to Dramar’s delight, the Sheridan was sent to Halloran Sector to assist the USS Noras in study a unique subspace phenomena. However, while still enroute, the Sheridan received a distress call from the Olean Colony on Euwindon Three. They had suffered some sort of catastrophic explosion at a major waste recycling plant that lead to large-scale changes in the planet’s atmo- and bio-spheres, killing millions. Those that had been exposed who had not died underwent a variety of mutations. It was clear that unless they could reverse the environmental damage or the mutations, the colony would be lost.
This event proved to be one the most crucial of Dramar’s life. His “death” allowed him to deal with the guilt he carried with since the Jutland Incident. He was able to accept it for it was and move on as a new man.
Trouble at the Border
With its CO reinstated, the ‘’Sheridan’’ was sent to patrol a route along the Federation-Romulan Neutral Zone between Waystations Sierra and Kilo. When they arrived on at Sierra, they found her crew dead and her command center destroyed. Concerned by this, Dramar ordered the Sheridan to continue along the neutral zone to Waystation Romeo, which had suffered the same fate. Believing that stations up the line had already been hit, they raced to Waystation November to try and head off the attack, however, they received a FLAASH message marked “Eyes Only” station the Federation had moved to DEFCON 3 and that they were ordered to Starbase 157. Quill reluctantly complied with the orders after informing Star Fleet Command of the situation. The Waystation listening posts were their eyes along the border, which was now unguarded.

When Did You Lose That Shuttle
The following denotes a mission that was erased from the timeline by the actions of Captain Takari, and therefore is not part of Quillian Dramar’s official service jacket.
| Strengths=Quill is a quick learner who can adapt to changing situations and is able to maintain most of his composure on a great deal of stress. He is great listener, and a better friend
| Weaknesses=At times Quill is prone to over examine a situation and not rely on his instincts
| Fears=<strikes>That he will never be able to repent for his sins during the Jutland Incident</strikes> That he will not find someone to spend his life with
| Prejudices=Quill has a hatred for the Romulan military, Orions, and especially pirates
| Painful=The most painful moment in Quill’s life would have been destruction of the planet beyond the black hole during the Jutland Incident and the two sentient races which inhabited it
| Time=The best time in Quill’s life would have to be his time spent as Chief Science Officer during peace time. Quill had free reign of his own labs, a scientist’s dream
| Crucial=The most crucial moment for Quill was just before his death during the Olean Colony disaster. Prior to his death, the weight of his sins was crushing him. He was broken man. At the time of his death, he reconciled his deeds and was reforged a new. Thanks to the swift action of Dr. Gaelio Princip, Quill was resuscitated and once again given the chance to live his life
| Role Model=Quill’s does not have one specific role model but a group of them. The Captains he served under; Gage, Lanael, Delacroix, Leeot, all helped to shape his career through their leadership. He also looks to the great scientist who came before; Einstein, Opienheimer, Nobel, and Cochran.
