Captain Brooks was a little surprised by the sudden change of command that he was given. Taking over as Captain of a Ross-Class vessel was a thing of dreams, it was the upgrade to the legendary Galaxy-Class. It was one of Dan's career highlight's and he will treasure however long he was going to be in charge of such a vessel. His current crew merged in with another crew which also had been reassigned to the Aquila.

|Peeves=Having replicated food
|Habits=Brooks sometimes ends up bottling things up in his personal life where at work he is the opposite, has been known to drink quite a bit of alcohol at times because of this. Sometimes can be naïve which causes problems with people or causing him try to hard into being helpful outside the medical job.
|Achievements=Winning the inter-planet swimming contest when he was sixteen, becoming Captain and being CO of the Ross-Class
|Disappointments=Not getting along with his father and finding out on the Mars trip that his mother can't cope with space travel
|Illnesses=Fever then catching Ankaran Flu when he was aged eight while on the visit to Mars, requiring a hospital stay.
