The Krynar Conflict required experienced Marines to be assigned to Starships, but Jenna was kept on Mars to teach. It was only following the [[USS Gettysburg, CA-1863|Gettysburg]] crew's disastrous experience on Ryla that she was assigned shipborne duty again, this time by the order of her brother (now Marine Commandant). She'd barely even unpacked her bags when the news that the Marine Corps was being disbanded was announced, and found herself now wearing the black uniform of Special Operations as the NCOIC of now Lieutenant Commander [[Dawson, Sierra|Dawson]]'s Rapid Response Team with a promotion to the Special Operations Grade of Master Chief Special Warfare Operator.
Jenna remained with Dawson's team when it transferred to the [[USS Artemis, EX-11000|Artemis]] for its expedition to the Delta Quadrant, but age was starting to catch up with her and she desired a change. When the Artemis' [[Braggins, Jennifer|First Officer]] was promoted to Captain and assigned to take command of the [[USS Philadelphia, FSV-66053|Philadelphia]], Jenna applied for the newly-vacant position of [[Chief of the Boat]].
