The Academy Flight Range was an area of space located within the Sol System near Saturn designated for use by cadets at Star Fleet Academy for flight training and piloting exercises. One of Saturn's moons, Mimas, was used as the location of an emergency evacuation center for the flight range. In charge of the flight range was the Academy Range Officer.
