Launched on Stardate 20710.01 under the command of Captain [[Joseph Valiant]], and attached to Space Station [[Sierra-18]] and the [[Bajoran]] System. Soon after Sierra-18's destruction during the Krynar war, the ship was attached to the [[USS Intrepid]] as she was recalled to Earth and transitioned to Independent Operations within the 1st Fleet. This development would also see the assignment of a new crew and the Intrepid's third commanding officer, [[Archer, Gabriel|Captain Gabriel Archer]].
