After the mission to New Kanto, Jason was called to Captain Crawford's Ready Room. There, he was informed that, upon their return to Bravo, he was to report to Starbase Alpha for reassignment. There were no details, so both he and Captain Crawford were in the dark as to the meaning of his reassignment.
Once reporting in to Alpha, he made his way to the office of the Fleet AdmiralCommander, Rear Admiral Kinziri Jal, as ordered. He met with her, and was given the position of Commanding Officer of the Ozaki, a Berlin-class Frigate, and promoted to the rank of Captain.
