|History=
Sam was born on Hiraka 3, a small outpost on the edge of the Neutral Zone. Her mother, Jane Aster, was human and served as a Medical Officer on the base. Her father, K'artuk, House of Honah, was Klingon. He was not in the Federation, but was the Klingon Ambassador for the outpost. He was killed in a battle with the Cardassians when Sam was 7. The battle levelled the outpost, and her mom was stationed on the USS Gordon. Sam spent the rest of her childhood on the Gordon.

Having lived practically her whole life on a starship, Sam knew that Star Fleet was the only way to go for her. Always trying to prove herself to her deceased father, she joined the Security division. She was assigned to the U.S.S. Yoritomo as a security officer under her first Captain Kelly Longbow. Kelley took a personal interest in Sam and assigned her to go on the very first away mission of Sams career. Going down with her was another new Security Officer, Daniel Wueste. Sam and Dan became close friends, and then more. Sams life changed drastically while serving on the U.S.S. Valley Forge. A villain from Dans past, Paul Vice, along with the help of the Romulan Star Empire, abducted Sam. Sam was relentlessly tortured while imprisoned by them, both by Romulans and especially by Vice. She gave up hope of ever being rescued. Shortly after surrendering her hope, the planet she was held on was under attack by Dan, come to rescue her. After releasing her from her prison, Sam found the Romulan in charge, the one who tortured her the most, and she killed him with her bare hands in a blind rage.

Once safe and secure, Dan proposed to Sam and they were wed on 20211.08, Dan’s birthday. Once more, life was dealing Sam a harsh hand as the Borg invaded, ending their honeymoon and any thoughts at an easy, happy life together. A mission involving time travel, nothing could have prepared her for what happened. As one of the defining moments in Sam’s life, she and Dan faced off against the Borg Queen in the future. This Queen however, was Sam. If it wasn’t bad enough to meet yourself, assimilated, its even worse to meet yourself ordering the elimination of your race, your friends, your world, and everything you have loved. Even worse that that is helping your husband kill the assimilated version of yourself.

The marriage got rocky after Dan was transferred to serve on Star Base Charlie approx stardate 20402.12. Dan sent one last communication, citing his love for Sam and his sadness at being away from her. Sam heard nothing from her husband for months. Knowing from friends he had been sent on a secret mission, Sam feared the worst for her husband. She lived those long months in a state of deep depression, living only to work her shift and get back to her quarters. About ten months of no word, Sam was talking to an old friend when she mentioned wanting to perform a ritual for Dan’s soul. The friend was confused as to why she would want such a thing since Dan was still alive. Shocked, Sam closed the channel on her friend without even saying goodbye.

Furious, Sam destroyed her quarters in a rage, her anger so fierce her own security officers had to subdue her. She woke up the next day in sickbay. A few days later, Sam filed for divorce from the man who she had given her heart and soul to. To this day, thoughts of Dan are equal parts love and hate. Sam still wishes she knew why he abandoned her, but at the same time is afraid of what the answer might be. They were officially divorced on Stardate 20504.25.

Shortly thereafter, Samantha was transferred to the USS Philadelphia where she was promoted to First Officer.
  |Majors=Security Procedures, Unarmed Combat.|Minors=Tactical operations, Strategic Command.|Hobbies=Sam enjoys working out of any sort. With her bat'leth, with friends in a gym, in a holoprogram, doesn’t matter as long as its strenuous and a challenge.|Short=To continue rebuilding her relationship with her mother. To work out her emotional problems.|Long=To die in combat. To have lived honourably.|Personality=Strict. Can be known to shout a lot.|Humor=Sarcastic at times, usually only shown with those she is comfortable with.|Phobias=Going into another blind rage.|Likes=Funny shirts, ice cream, animals, the color gold.|Dislikes=Stereotypes about her Klingon side, dishonourable people.|Peeves=People who live dishonourably – sometimes she wishes she can just kill them.|Habits=Not completing paperwork.|Achievements=Controlling her anger. Twice in her past she flew into a blind rage so strong she didn’t know what she was doing or where she was. Since then, she has worked hard to suppress her naturally violent reactions to stimuli and has brought her anger under control.|Disappointments=Her husband abandoning her without a word or explanation.
|Illnesses=
|Strengths=Klingon side provides tolerance to pain and increased strength. Her love of exercising keeps her well fit, more so than the average officer.|Weaknesses=Memory – after her torture by the Romulans Sam’s almost perfect memory failed her. It can take her months to recall names, and if she hasn’t seen a person in a long time she may have forgotten them all together.|Fears=Dying dishonourably and therefore not seeing her father in Sto-vo-kor.|Prejudices=Romulans, Borg, Cardassians|Taste=Funny, sarcastic T-shirts and jeans. Leather jacket.|Features=Pronounced forehead ridges, long scar across back from torture at the hands of the Romulans and Vice.

|Painful=Tortured by Romulans and killing herself as Borg Queen hold no candle to being deserted by her husband. Sam's most painful experience was hearing that her husband was alive and hadn’t bothered to contact her for over a year.|Time=The night of her marriage.|Crucial=The death of her father K'artuk. K'artuk died during a Cardassian raid on the outpost where she lived on the day of her 7th birthday. Her mother ordered her to stay put, but Sam wanted to fight. Her father had taught her how to use a phaser so Sam took one and went to help her father. Finding him pinned down, she began killing the Cardassians. Her father stood and ordered her home, exposing himself and getting shot. He died in her arms, his blood on her hands forever.|Role Model=|CHist=Though he died when Sam was 7, K'artuk was everything she could dream of in a father. He was loving, but could also be strict when needed. From him she learned all about her heritage, both Klingon and Human. She learned morals, honour, and truth.
