USS Sheridan & Starbase Bravo
After a training mission and return to the Gettysburg, Maggie found herself whisked away, though it was technically Shore Leave for the crew. The mission had turned bad -of course- and it looked as if her family was about to make things even harder for her. Even with the Federation in a reported Civil War, her family were able to pull what little strings they could to get her back home to Earth. While there, Maggie was offered a promotion and transfer, and convenience, as well as her heart, demanded she take it. She found herself returning with her boyfriend to the USS Sheridan, where she would serve as the new Chief Tactical Officer. When the Sheridan went on shore leave to Earth, her boyfriend asked for her hand in marriage, and she accepted. Not long after, Griffin accepted a promotion and transfer to Starbase Bravo. With their relationship strained due to long distance, Maggie jumped at the chance to accept the CTO position on Bravo when it became open. Together again, the two wed, and settled down their lives on Bravo. After some time, Maggie became pregnant with their first child, a girl they named Katherine ("Katie").

USS Philadelphia (parts 1 and 2)
Maggie took temporary assignment on the USS Philadelphia, jumping at the chance to be out in the field again. She hadn't expected to come up against not only an infant Crystalline Entity, the protective Tholian guardians of said Entity, and two battered rogue Klingon ships. Feeling as if she had been dropped into the deep part of a pool with weights on, Maggie quickly realized she had gone soft, and was no longer suited for field-work. Managing an entire Tactical Department she could do, but on board a Rhode-Island-class vessel, with her department consisting of only three other officers, showed Maggie that her skills were not as sharp as they had once been. By some miracle of diplomacy and tactical bluffing by Captain Braggins, the Philadelphia escaped destruction by the Crystalline Entity and the Tholians, and the Federation ship returned its crew to Starbase Alpha. Maggie returned to Bravo to be with her family, vowing to brush up on the newest Tactical texts, and to read more mission reports, should Starfleet call her to be out in the field again.

After the Philadelphia went through a refit, Maggie found herself once again called to the ship. Now classified as a traditional Nova-class, the Philadelphia still had a Chief Tactical Officer vacancy, and she was offered the position with the promise of earning back the rank demotion she had volunteered for earlier the past year. While the idea of leaving her family again made her apprehensive, Maggie felt as though she had to prove herself still worthy of being in the field. She had missed making informed, quick decisions, missed the witty banter that one got with a traveling crew, and with Katie's "terrible twos" setting in at home, didn't feel so bad about leaving her husband to deal with the screaming. She'd make it up to him later - somehow!

However, things on the Philadelphia quickly got dicey. Assigned to a joint mission with the USS Artemis in order to rescue POWs in Cardassian hands, there were not one, but two, mutiny attempts. It had become unclear on whether the Captain of the ship was acting under Starfleet orders or with her own gut, and Maggie wasn't sure where she should stand. Follow orders, and they'd be abandoning not only the POWs, but the strike team made up of top USS Artemis officers. But if they went with Braggins, who hadn't yet revealed she was working with Starfleet Intelligence, it might cost her career, possibly her life. Luckily for Maggie, she didn't have to make her choice official, and she returned to the nearest starbase when the Philadelphia used it to regroup.

She returned to Starbase Bravo, keeping her voluntary rank demotion, letting it serve as a reminder of what those 'in the field' were doing to protect her family.

Now that she had settled down and started a family, Maggie had found that she was quite content in her office job.
