Changes

In the [[Federation]] [[Star Fleet]], a group commander referrred referred to an officer that had operational control of one or more [[Starships|battle/exploration groups]]. The group commander was a [[flag officer]], usually of [[commodore]] or [[Rear Admiral|rear admiral]] rank who typically commanded his own [[starship]] within the group. The GC's starship served as the [[flagship]] of that group. <br/> It may also refer to a ground-based commander in charge of a Platoon of troops not necessarily in his/her department.
