While Amy preferred to spend time with their mother learning how to fly, Christian spent all his time with their father, either tinkering with the old motorcycle engines, or in later years, in the engine room. The time with his father left him with a life-long fascination with machinery, and he would often take things apart just to put them back together. It was also during this time he developed his dislike for the [[Ferengi]], as several deals with them for parts turned out to be far too expensive.
