| Friends= Kerri Delevan. Both Keri and Gabriel lived next door to each other their whole lives. Though they both won't admit it, they have feelings for each other that go deeper than being just friends.
| History=George was once a medical officer on a Star Fleet vessel along with Mercedes who was serving as a communications officer on the same vessel. The two of them kept their relationship mostly a secret from the rest of the crew but as fate would have it, Mercedes became pregnant to the surprise of Mercedes, George, and the crew. After a long talk with the Captain, who was displeased with the circumstances, he agreed to allow George and Mercedes to be discharged from Star Fleet to start this family of theirs. Before disembarking though, the captain also agreed to marry them both in a small ceremony abroad the ship with a handful of the crew as witnesses.

Life had thrown them both a curve ball so they had to adapt to the new family life with each other and little Gabriel. George and Mercedes settled down in a small town and opened a small doctor’s office near the center of town. While George tended to the patients, Mercedes ran the daily business aspects of the office. Gabriel spent his infant years in a makeshift play area in the corner of his parent’s office while his parents tried their best to make a life for him.

Gabriel’s childhood was a simple one compared to most. From the age of 4 years old, when the Delevan's and their 4 year old daughter moved in next door, he always had a best friend in Kerri Delevan. There wasn’t a day where Gabriel and Kerri weren’t getting into some kind of trouble. More often than not, they ended being grounded for days at a time but that didn’t stop them from playing games with each other since their bedroom windows faced each other.

As the years passed by, both families would pester and joke with them over future wedding plans. To the two kids, it was never on the table or something they ever hinted at being possible. To Gabriel and Kerri, they were just friends that have always been there for one another. Whether through the good and the bad. Gabriel would later admit to himself, when looking back on those years, that he was oblivious to a lot of signs. The little signs like her grabbing his arm while walking though a haunted corn maze or the tingle in his stomach when he first saw her dressed up for a middle school dance.

In his teens, Gabriel would spend most of his summers in his parents’ doctors office answering the phone, setting up appointments for his fathers’ patients and helping his mom with what ever little mindless task she could think of for him to do. Every so often, Gabriel would end up sneaking out of the office to meet up with Kerri to go swimming or to just pal around town. Gabriel would usually end up with double the amount of work the next day as punishment but he was used to it. He lived for those times with Kerri as he began to understand his emotions and hormones more and more. It was during these teen years of his life that he couldn't help but see his best friend in a different kind of light. Nerves had never been a problem for him when around her, so it was jolt to his system when he would catch himself stumbling around his words when she was close by. He had his suspicions that she felt something for him, having caught her staring at him a few times through the blinds of his parents office, as he sat behind the desk.

The only crack that ever formed in their friendship, and one that started early in their life, stemmed from different expectations about where they would like to see there futures lie. Gabriel saw his life as one like his parents. On board a Star Fleet Vessel, creating stories of the stars like the ones he would hear when old Crewmates of his parents would visit. Wanting to feel like he mattered in the sea of black we float in. Kerri felt comfort in the nature that already surrounded them in the mountains of home though. Her parents raised her to appreciate the green leaves that gave her breath, hardness of the rocks under her feet, the clear and cold streams of water that snaked around their town.

The crack had finally broke Gabriel and Kerri in two when the time came for them to decide their paths after finishing high school. For the future Doctor, he felt his path had already been formed the day he watched his father's patient pass away. Gabriel had no hesitation when it came to applying for Star Fleet. It was a moment he had waited for and one thought he would get to share his happiness with Kerri. It was this lack of hesitation that lead to their largest argument because Kerri, deep down, hoped that Gabriel would get Doctorate and come back to over his family's medical office. Through tears and breaking hearts, nether of them would open up their buried feelings for one another. Both were blinded by expectations to see the life they could have together if they just admitted a love that had always been there. Gabriel would wonder many times over the year if he would have stayed on earth of that had happened. Wonder what their family would have been like.

During his time at Starfleet Academy and her time at an out of state university, they would hear about how the other was doing from their parents, but messages to one another would get written and deleted multiple times. Gabriel's studies would help keep his focus forward, but his mind would always keep an eye looking back at his time with her. Ever since that day when he was 4, she was always there. He was never alone. But this path he was on was important to him, so he learned to live with a heart that would carry love and pain as he tried to prove his worth to the universe.
