Also called the "Neo-Constitution" class, this Federation starship is used for exploration during the 24th and 25th Centuries.

It follows the traditional saucer section-engineering section-warp nacelle layout that is common to most Starfleet vessels.

  • The main bridge is equipped with a large evacuation hatch behind the main viewscreen for emergency use, which opens directly into open space.

  • The class has at least three shuttlebays, with Shuttlebay 3 located on the aft end of the secondary hull.

  • Extravehicular transporter to and from the ship can be done via a number of transporter systems besides the airlocks,
which allowed personnel or equipment to be transported over large ranges.

  • The observation lounge is located directly rear of the main bridge.
The lounges typically have a conference table with seating for seven people, with two LCARS screens.

  • The brig is located on Deck 12.

  • Of note: corridors are wider than previous generations, and are similar to those seen on the Sagan-class.
The extra space easily allows for the ship's crew to move about without feeling crowded or bumping into each other.
