| History= ‘’The following is classified Top Secret (Level 7)’’ Jenny was born a quiet child on Starbase Alpha to a woman who did not want her. She soon found herself sent to live with her father on the USS Philadelphia, and was raised by him and several of his friends until he transferred to the USS Enterprise. On the Enterprise, Jenny's father married her adoptive mother and for a while the three lived happily, and Jenny was soon joined by a little brother.

Jenny served on the Ticonderoga with the ship's Fighter Squadron, before moving on to become Wing Commander when her father's Light Carrier Group idea came to fruition. When the project was cancelled, she transferred with him to his new project; the [[666th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing]] as a Squadron Leader. This assignment did not last long, however, as she wished to get out and see the Galaxy from a more peaceful perspective – a move her father initially disagreed with, but later relented on and assisted her in making a choice. Knowing most of the crew were also displaced, Jenny figured she should join like-minded individuals to explore this new existence with, choosing the USS Avenger as her next posting.

Jenny’s first mission aboard the Avenger actually took place aboard the [[USS James Madison]] which was dispatched under command of Commander Crawford to the planet Halless 1; to recover a Probe that had mysteriously disappeared. Upon entering orbit around Halless, the James Madison lost all power and plummeted from space. Jenny managed to slow the descent somewhat, but the ship crashed and was all-but destroyed with several fatalities. Despite several ‘hiccoughs’ on the mission, including but not limited to Crawford being taken by a flying creature and a failed train hijacking, Jenny herself destroyed the rogue Probe with a pair of Grenades, and piloted the Avenger out of the system following the crew’s rescue.
Given time off to recuperate; Jenny developed an unlikely friendship with [[Praise, Zephyr|Zephyr Praise]], whom she had nearly shot during her breakdown on the Avenger’s Bridge. The two went shopping in an attempt to bond, and Zephyr tried to get Jenny to open up and come out of the shell she had created – to be a young woman for once rather than just a Starfleet Officer. The attempt was successful to a point, until new orders came through from Starfleet Command – Jenny had been assigned as Acting Chief Tactical Officer on the Avenger. Though she desperately wanted to turn the position down, she eventually relented and accepted – realising that it was only one more mission, and would allow her to at least make up for attempting to run away without saying goodbye the first time she had attempted to transfer.
Jenny’s experiences as Acting Chief Tactical Officer aboard the Avenger were no less than disastrous. En-route to a mysterious distress call, Captain Crawford was badly wounded by an explosion in her Ready Room. Jenny was the first on the scene and managed to put out the resulting fire and waited for medical aid to arrive, and was instrumental in apprehending the culprit. When the Avenger arrived at the site of the distress call, Jenny led the away team to the planet Aoin and discovered that a mystery illness had claimed the lives of every inhabitant – an act later discovered to be an act of murder by an energy based life form known as ‘Wanderer’. Eventually ‘Wanderer’ was expelled from the Avenger, and the ship returned home without her Captain. It was during this time that Jenny began to wonder if she had made a mistake in requesting a transfer, and even started to second-guess herself about what she wanted from her career.
When the Avenger docked at Starbase Delta, Jenny had tried to visit Tyra in Sickbay, but was quite forcefully turned away by Admiral Grayson himself. With nothing to do to keep herself busy, Jenny decided to throw herself into completing some extra studies to accumulate Academy Credits in an attempt to justify her rank and position to herself. When Tyra was able to receive visitors, Jenny was the first to visit her injured Captain – the two talked about what had happened, which led to Jenny being assigned permanently as the Avenger’s Chief Tactical Officer but also being put through Command Training. During this time, Jenny also went on her first official ‘date’ with Jake, and their relationship went from being something the other crewmembers would speculate about to something quantifiable.
