Captain Boislevesque was surprised when he was given command of a brand new ship as he wasn’t expecting it, but it was a nice surprise. The Charon is a reconnaissance science ship fresh out of the ship yards, there is only one draw back on getting this command and that is because there is no room for families, I am like others on board that have had to leave the family back on Earth and this is the first time that I have been away from Jemima and the children since forever and it is hard to get use too, mainly because the Captain’s quarters are so quiet.
The first mission is a shack shake down cruise and a survey mission on the Taybor system, this is a brand new area to explore and a good test of the ships system. However things didn't go according to plan as there was a mix up with the new computer system, it looks like the fire wall between the different areas of the memory and computer core failed as the ship was taken over by an odd computer program and there was numerous reports of holographic people and animals causing havoc on the ship, I for one was trapped in my Ready room with Lieutenant Lunori by a lady called Anastasia Curkova and her little lap dog, which when it barked it slammed the Ready room door closed, we ended up getting out in the end but by then damage had been done and that includes my right foot being crushed by the abrupt closing of the door. During the mission we also lost our warp core and we ended up having to towed home, which was something that no Captain should have to experience as while we were moving through the space dock, I felt that everyone ones eye were on us and were whispering about what they had heard that caused them to be towerftowed home.
