| History=Candice was born in London the only child to Samantha and Edmund Baker. Her parents were members of the SFMC and her father was killed in action during the First Great War fighting the Cardassians.
Her mother is a Marine Major currently serving aboard the USS Stalingrad (CA-1942) on patrol near the Cardassian border. She is also a demolitions expert and has been an instructor before this assignment. Her mother was somewhat disappointed that Candi failed to get into the SFMC but was quite happy that she passed the entrance exams into Starfleet.
Candice used to be quiet and of a slightly nervous disposition, appearing to be aloof from everyone. Now however, she has become a good friend to have and once she has got to know people she is a loyal friend. She had received the nickname ‘bookworm’ because on her off duty moments she was always found in the Observation Lounge or mess room engrossed in a book.
She is a loyal, diligent and hard worker and had studied the Forensic Sciences and hopes to one day be posted into the Criminal Investigation Division’s forensic department.
Candi has served aboard various ships. Her first, was the Columbia scout, USS Yeager (SC-8081), then Space Station Sierra 18. This was followed by a short term on the USS Drake (CL-2509) and then aboard the battle cruiser USS Dauntless (BC-1553). It has been a fraught learning curve for Candi as she has now been through most forms of combat and has progressed into a most diligent officer.
After promotion to Ensign she was poached by Starfleet Intelligence for her expertise in computer hacking and assigned to Section 4 where she served with a small team on various missions. When the team was disbanded, Candi found herself in the research labs at Intelligence HQ on Earth. During this time her skills in computers was put to good use as she helped work on decoding sequencing and anti hacking protocols. She received promotion to Lieutenant [JG], then to full Lieutenant during her time at HQ.
Now she has received a different assignment aboard Intel's asset, the USS Challenger as their Director of Security in Area 51. She is keen to see how her old skills will come in handy in her new role and hopes that being aboard a vessel again, she may well be able to re-establish her ties with Alex.
